Stayed in room 202 during the off-season.Pros:-staff fixed key cards when all 3 key cards failed on their doors-check-in and check-out were easy-rooms were quiet-location was close to the main strip so it was easy to get to places, but far enough away you didn't have to hear all the cars backfiring all the time (not sure why the Dells have that problem in such prevalence but we heard MANY backfires)-offer of campfires was nice but we didn't use thisCons:-First bedroom window faces the lobby window. There are no blinds on the lobby window, so the motion sensor fluorescent light shines past your curtains until 12 am when the lobby closes.-there is no ventilaton in the bedrooms, only the main room. So a room with a closed door hits 85 degrees by 2 am. By which point I could wake up and open the window and not be woken by surrounding sounds.-had to take out our own trash under threat of fees. This makes the hotel barely better than an air-bnb. I don't mind cleaning my own dishes, but basic housekeeping shouldn't be my responsibility.-pools are only designed for children. Maximum depth of their three pools was something like 36”-42". Didn't even have a hot tub available as an option for adults.-no breakfast optionsI can see how this would be a fun place for kids, and maybe other rooms have better set ups, but for me, this hotel stumbles on a lot of basic things that can impact the overall stay.

Our family of 4 stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin room and it was great! Only complaint was that there was only an AC unit in the livingroom and with the kids rooms shut, their rooms got really hot. We had to buy small fans. It was also 100 degrees out that week. But the resort was beautiful and the 3 pools were great! There's also a playground and plenty of things to do around the area.

My second time going, the kids enjoyed their self, the staff was nice and friendly. The thing I didn’t like was all the pools was very cold, there’s a fee if you do not do dishes or clean rooms, no room service and definitely over priced. They make you pay a security deposit, which took a while to come back, rooms need to be updated, there’s was no internet service nor did my phone had very little signal and no activity for the children besides of the pools.

Our family really enjoyed our long weekend here! Outdoor pool was wonderful in the heat! The kid's enjoyed the indoor water play area, and playing games in the lobby. We loved having a campfire and cooking smores. Special thanks to Ryan! We booked this trip very last minute and didn't know what to expect completely, and he took care of us! He even took us and showed us one of the cabins we had asked about, great job Ryan!

The room felt a bit out dated to me, my tv would turn off on itself a lot, and be slow, WI-FI is ok. I do enjoy the outdoor area . It has great fire pits with pre cut wood available to use. The staff is friendly.

I want to start by saying the staff at this hotel is incredible!!!! The manager and the young lady that work at the desk are the nicest people I have ever seen in a resort!!! (They both have slight Caribbean accents) Now to the bad parts. We stayed in “the mountaineer”. The fans in rooms were shaking and were extremely loud (you can actually feel it from upstairs) AC is only upstairs and does not reach downstairs so downstairs is very hot. Bedding is not very nice nor clean (we had to have the bedding changed the first night). The edges of the floors/bottom of the walls were very dusty and looked like they have never been cleaned. There is no oven, ore air fryer to cook anything only stovetop and microwave, so forget a pizza. The towels are super old looking and super small and thin. Other than an old picnic table in a very overgrown wooded area there is also no outdoor patio or seating in the mountaineer. Also, the indoor pool is very neat, but very cold. Lastly the have blinds that are beat up and no curtains and with all the lights outside the rooms are never dark. Most cabins I have stayed at have curtains instead of blinds. Overall, I think they have some work to do before this place is worth the $230 per night (clean room thoroughly, newer and bigger linens, add some outdoor seating, replace the fans, get AC downstairs, new towels, curtains instead of blinds, turn up the heat in the indoor pool.

We recently stayed in a cabin with our immediate family for a family reunion. Pros: clean, has basic necessities, good location in proximity to other Wisconsin Dells attractions, and good items for kids (pools, park, bonfires, movies at night, and spacious grassy areas). Cons: read the fine print on items (they do not provide extra towels during your stay, charge you a fee if you don’t clean your own cabin- do the dishes and take trash out). We had 6 people stay in our cabin and needed more toilet paper- they gave a single roll. Most things are an extra charge- renting a gathering spaces and s’mores kits. For what you pay a night- it’s pretty basic (in my opinion). You have to provide extra trash bags, extra pillows/blankets, towels, charcoal for grills, etc. It is located in a very hilly area, so if you have a hard time navigating by foot or are in a wheelchair- I would recommend looking elsewhere (for the cabins). The hotel space seems very accessible.

As soon as we made the reservation, a woman called asking for the specific number of adults and children--not necessarily bad, but we specified this information online and her tone was short, and less than friendly. On arrival, the check in was smooth. The young man that checked us in was friendly and easy going. The room was nice, with 2 separate bedrooms and a common area. The space was definitely comfortable and a nice space to unwind after spending a full day at the parks. There were definitely issues:1. the wifi is nearly nonexistent2. there were not enough towels and there was a note stating no towels would be given or replaced during the stay. (Bring your own, or prepare to buy some.)3. the floors are very thin and my door slammed shut lowdly when it closed. Had to remind everyone to softly guid the door closed4. the guests below me complained about noise. Other than walking around and the occasional slam from the faulty door (we're not heavy footed), there literally was none. We were given a letter threatening to keep our security deposit if the noise continued, which put us, unnecessarily, on edge during our stay. There was no loud music or TV, no running, no yelling, literally just walking around.5. The place seemed overly preoccupied with reasons to keep the security deposit: unwashed dishes, "unnecessary mess" left at discharge, etc. Fortunately, there was no reason found to keep my deposit, but people come to the Dells to unwind and play, not be threatened with obnoxious fees.Ultimately, the place is an adequate option, but would not recommend as a first or second choice.

Giving 4 stars simply due to the fact that they really should have a pool heater. I have a pool heater for my 45,000 gallon pool, there is absolutely no reason to not have a heated pool. my kids are tough and are struggling to get in the indoor pool and defiantly won't swim in the outdoor. We would plan larger family gatherings if theh had a heated pool. Otherwise I love everything else, but would be nice to have more items in their store and maybe a hot tub. The staff is wonderful, and the rooms are adorable. The pool being open later is super nice to. The firepits everywhere and the property is gorgeous.

Air conditioning hasn’t worked since we checked in. Toilet broke before bed but there’s no staff here to fix it. Lights didn’t have working bulbs. No food on site (restaurant or continental breakfast). Will not be coming

We stayed at the Meadowbrook for a 3 night vacation during the week in July. We had an overall good experience. Our family has visited Meadowbrook throughout the past 20-25 years, and this time was no different. Location is perfect - a little away from Downtown, away from hectic crowde 24/7. We stayed 2 nights in the Ponderosa and one night in the lodge. We enjoyed both rooms - the Ponderosa had a little musty smell in the beginning, but I'm sure that was from non-use. Both were extremely spacious and easy to manuever. We did not use the pools - so we can't speak on those but those seemed fine. The front desk people were very nice and friendly. Our key cards did deactivate twice during our stay, but we were told that was because we put it next to our phone. Bonfire was pretty cool. Avoid the first and bottom floor in the lodge though - it smelled bad down there and does not have a balcony (only a window touching the ground). Definitely gets busier on the weekends though. During the week is pretty empty. Our only negative thing would be no housekeeping service mid-stay (they say because of covid but we're well past that) and the fact they don't replenish towels. You have to bring your own additional. Other than that, we certainly enjoyed our stay. However they work with DellsPackages. com to hook you up with attractions. We did two individual attractions added on to our stay (they did help bring the cost down), but note that every package has an underlying fee of near $40 to make their money. Just be careful. Thanks Meadowbrook for a fun vacation!

It will do in a pinch, but if you can stay somewhere else I would. As other reviewers mentioned, they require you to wash your own dishes, take out the trash yourself, and offer no service between nights (replacement towels ect.) citing Covid as a reason for no service.... in July 2023. The beds are also extremely uncomfortable. The location is good, but so are 700 other different places in the dells. For the same high price, I would stay find yourself a place that will give you a new towel.

We took the entire Ponderosa building for a family reunion. It worked out well. Amber in group reservations was very nice and helpful. You can walk to downtown, but it feels more remote. The kids liked the pool and the adults liked drinking beverages in the deck. . Relaxing and fun.

First and last. Few reasons why1. AC is in the dining room upstairs and the rooms are in the basement and the bathroom is upstairs too.2. Annoying smoke detector keeps beeping every 20 seconds, told them bout it but they did nothing.3. We end up buying towels because the one they have smells.4. The stairs going to your room could be slippery so not kids or Senior friendly.5. The lady in the frontdesk was not nice or friendly (The one wearing glasses) 7/26/23 1pm. All in all NOT worth it for $580+ 2 nights.
