This was a stopover on a late night trip from Minneapolis to Chicago. For that it worked very well. Everything was clean and as needed. The room could use more plugs for electronics but they are of a certain age, after all. Breakfast was fine, not issues. I just feel bad for the desk staff who have to listen to the same 16 bars of "The Little Hen" polka all day every day. Be strong!

I stayed here for work, which means it should be tax exempt. When I pointed this out at the hotel, they said they took care of it and gave me a receipt that showed I didn't pay taxes. However, I noticed on my credit card statement that they did charge taxes. I called them and they said I needed to talk to Wyndham Customer Care and gave me their number. I called the number and spoke to someone that created a "case" for me and said it would be resolved in a week. I received an email stating the same. However, it has been 2 weeks and I have heard nothing else. I even responded to the email after a week asking for an update and received nothing back. My stay overall was fine, location was fine. However, clearly customer service for their own error is not a priority so I would not recommend staying here.

The hotel is nice overall, but it has definitely seen better days. It needs a real good deep clean pretty much everywhere. Noticed a lot of dirty walls and floors. The room was decent, the beds were comfortable and the staff were pretty nice. The pool was a hit. Very cozy feel and nice atmosphere.Nearby activities: Tons of stuff to do nearby.

We enjoyed our stay very much! It was our anniversary, so the manager upgraded our room to the suite. It had a jacuzzi, fireplace, and a separate living room. The pool area had a separate pool for children, basketball hoops in the adult pool, and a hot tub. The breakfast buffet included pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs, cereals, yogurts, juices, and many hot beverages. The hotel was very clean and well decorated. The staff was very nice. Highly recommend!

I booked a king suite with a tub. Was put in handicap accessible room with shower. When I asked front desk they said it is what I booked. After showing them my actual reservation description they just told me they were overbooked and I did have a nice renovated room. Nothing renovated about it. I then received an email 30 minutes later with a “ modified” reservation for the handicap accessible room. Not cool. Never offered the resort tickets they say they give out. Asked for clean towels and had talk back about how they don’t do that, but this time they would make an exception. I was clearly told all we had to do was ask if we wanted service provided. Breakfast was disappointing. Fire exit signs not working properly. Exterior door at end of hall did not lock. Cigarette butts all over the ground outside. Not adequate parking spaces.Safety: Not a secure building

The check in process was far less than ideal with the person on their cell phone for personal use the entire well-including “if they show up here, I’ll call the police”.There was a large plastic souvenir tumbler under one of the beds that are our dog found -had the room been vacuumed? The breakfast was disappointing and no one was checking for filling items .The check out had an error on the bill that took a good 10 minutes plus for the hotel clerk and manager to fix.I would not recommend this hotel-I chose it for its Wyndham AmeriInn name and was disappointed and frustrated for the service and the price I paid.Noteworthy details: Very disappointing

Worst experience ever! Smell of rot, mold, fungus and dirt.We asked for a room change, but there was no room available due to carpets replacement. The only solution offered was to spray the room with air freshener. Even more disgusting! Exhaustion from our journey, with two small children, we chose to stay the night. We woke up with a headache and immediately check out.We were assured that we would receive a refund for the 6 unused nights, but it didn't happen. General manager treated us disrespectfully, we didn't hear a word sorry. We will never go back here. Disgusting!Safety: Rot, fungi, bacteria- dangerous for the health of us and our children

This was my first time staying here, and I will definitely book again on another trip to Wisconsin Dells. The rooms are spacious and have comfortable beds and we had a nice little balcony facing a lovely wooded area. There’s a big pool with a hot tub for relaxing and tasty breakfast items in the morning. I can’t give enough praise for manager Travis and how amazing he was during our stay. Any concerns we had were addressed in a timely manner. Upon getting settled in our room, we realized the double lights above the nightstand weren’t working properly. The switch seemed to be broken and the only way to turn the lights on or off was to either plug in or unplug the cord. Travis himself immediately replaced the entire unit so that we’d have lights that were working properly. I noticed that one of the sinks had a slow moving drain. A maintenance person was brought in the next morning to get it working. My friend and I both needed closed captioning on the TV and had a difficult time finding the channel guide so that we could choose programs to watch. Travis spent quite a bit of time trying to get the captioning on the tv for us. He told us the news that the new owner of hotel is going to be remodeling all of the rooms and that the new TVs, which have significantly larger screens and a remote that was easier to navigate, were already there. He said he’d be happy to bring one and set it up for us so that we could enjoy the larger screen during the rest of our stay. He was true to his word and the new TV was in our room and ready to watch within a short time. I believe in giving compliments where compliments are due. Travis is exceptional and a valuable asset to this hotel! He made our stay an especially enjoyable one.

Staff was very friendly and patient. The room we had was less than ideal. It smelled like wet basement. The room was humid and even our bedding felt damp. Sleeping was a struggle. It was awful. We just sucked it up since it was only one night.

We will never book at AmericInn by Wyndham in Wisconsin Dells again after the terrible experience we had when trying to check-in with our cat. This hotel claims to be pet-friendly, which is why we chose it for our vacation and drove 5 hours from Minnesota with our kids and cat.Upon arriving at 2pm hoping for early check-in, we were told check-in wasn't until 4pm, unless we pay extra. When we returned at 4pm, we were shocked to be charged a $33/night pet fee for our cat and told the hotel does NOT accept cats - only dogs! The rude front desk staff refused to accommodate us in any way, even though we clearly booked this hotel under the impression cats were allowed. We asked for a manager, but were told the manager wasn't there. No one was willing to make an exception or assist us as we scrambled to find another hotel that would accept our cat. After wasting hours of our vacation, we had to book a less ideal hotel just so we had somewhere to stay with our family pet. This was an unacceptable experience. AmericInn falsely advertises as pet-friendly when they actually turn away families with cats. We did not even get to stay at AmericInn because of their misleading pet policy and lack of accommodations for cat owners. I hope this review saves other cat owners from driving hours to this hotel only to end up stranded due to false advertising. We will never risk staying at AmericInn or Wyndham again.

The location was not bad at all so no complaints there. My family and I travel a lot and this is now #3 on the list of the worst places we have stayed. The staff are incredibly unprofessional and rude. Our room was not that clean with black stains on the sheets and a half eaten hamburger left in one of the mini fridges. We had two rooms and they would not accommodate our request, that was put in at time of booking, to have side by side rooms. The first night we were there, Friday the 28th of July, there was a big storm. They locked the doors so people checking in were just stuck outside until someone let them in. The shower handle in one of the rooms, 219, would just fall off into your hand. Anything outside of the room was muggy, stinky like mold and hot. And they also leave these very unprofessional tip envelopes in your room. Most of the outlets in our room did not work and the beds were the absolute worst we have ever had in a hotel. Also they gave us two free drink tickets for the food still in the fridge, but good luck getting them when no one was ever tending the bar.

Our room was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The hallways were not clean and smelled dirty. The furniture in the bar and common areas were dirty and the upholstery was torn on some chairs. The pools had not been cleaned in a while - they had a lot of sand in them and other debris that made the pools feel dirty. The outdoor trash receptacles were overflowing with trash. We kept running into a couple of guests standing outside one of the entrance doors smoking pot. Our room card was accidentally deactivated when we extended our stay and I stood at the front desk for 15 minutes waiting for someone to show up to help me. They were not waiting on other guests, they were out back at the picnic table area smoking pot. Not a good look. The staff were friendly, but not always available. We appreciated and took advantage of the wrist bands for the water parks. Will probably look for other accommodations next time unless we know that the place has been cleaned up. Felt like what used to be a nice place was being let go and run down. We were going to eat dinner at a picnic table out back, but two were broken and the other was being used by other guests and staff.Rooms: Our room was clean.Nearby activities: The hotel is in a good location - close to the highway and also within walking distance of some stores and restaurants.Safety: We felt safe

I think this hotel has a lot of potential. I had a room with a patio with a greenery view which was nice. Pool area was nice with a jacuzzi. They do offer breakfast, I didn't partake. The lobby felt cozy & large. The room could of definitely used a better cleaning, I found a event bracelet under the telephone & a lot of dust on the lamps & near, under the bed. I asked for a late checkout & was refused. An older gentleman was very upset that the flag outside was very tattered & needed to be replaced.Nearby activities: Not on the strip but very close with many restaurants & gas stations nearby.
