Tickets must be bought online in advance. This is not communicated clearly on thier website. Drove with two small children who were very excited for tubing to be turned away even though the park didn't seem busy at all.

LOTS of standing around in line. The hill is fun, you go fast but trudging back up is the worst even with the conveyer. Definitely a one and done for us. Staff there is lovely, so friendly

Wilmot Mountain has always been a great destination for snow tubing, and I've made it a tradition to visit almost every year. However, this year, the introduction of a DJ in the cafeteria has been a letdown. The music is excessively loud and often inappropriate for kids. I sincerely hope they reconsider this decision, as it disrupts the otherwise fantastic snow tubing experience.

This place is really cool! We enjoyed tubing, the runs are long and fast. Waiting for every single person to be clear at the bottom is annoying but safety first I guess!

Pricing:Simply put, the price point is not appropriate. I don't care about the "free" hot chocolate. I'm glad I experienced it this time, but I don't have any intentions of going back until the price point lowers to a more appropriate $25-30.Operations:We booked the 11-1 PM slot today (Saturday, Feb 25th). We had no issues getting our tickets and navigating the facility. It was pretty simple. There were a lot of people and I was frustrated by the lane clearing protocol, adults dragging their 3 kids slowly out of the lanes was really annoying and slow. We were allowed to do double, triple, and even quad runs. All lanes but maybe 1 or 2 were available. I came with a group of 7 and we were able to make our own fun. I really do think it's a matter of mindset and experience seeking. It was professionally groomed and icy. When folks were allowed to double, triple, etc the lines moved a lot faster.Experience:You do NOT need to be super bundled, you get warm with the activity. I NEVER fell. Looking at the hill from a distance I was like, NO PROBLEM. Then being up there I was like OH NOOO. By the end I was a pro and could have gone face first (which is not allowed). Going down by myself the first time was exhilarating and a little scary, but after the first time it was a lot of fun. Pairing up with others was a lot of fun and it made it fun to share the experience with them. Good opportunities for photos, banter, goofing. The prospect of going backwards was scary at first, but by the end I was going backwards by myself. As mentioned before, you have to walk through to the end of the lane which is a major inconvenience and annoying to wait for when you're at the top anticipating to go down. So I always tried to get out of the lane as quickly as possible. There are some secrets to going further down the lane: ensuring that your butt is lifted from off of the floor, keeping yourself aerodynamic -- going backwards helps with this, and going in groups.I had fun, but I won't be able to entertain coming back at this price point. It was a fun one-time experience. I think it's important for Wilmot to consider that at this price point they have absolutely NO way of converting me into further sales - concessions or other activities.

Very unimpressed by this place. $49 to go down a hill 4 times in an hour? That’s ridiculous. Only got to go 7 times total because the staff wouldn’t let people go 2 at a time. Staff also waits until every single lane is clear before letting anyone else go which takes forever especially when there are little kids that don’t make it all the way to the bottom and have to walk the rest of the way, making the wait even longer. Additionally, like other reviews stated, they close lanes early and customers don’t get what they pay for. Staff at the hill is also rude when a complaint is brought up. I inquired why they wait so long, etc and they said “I don’t know. I just work here dude.” Not surprised as it was a gen Z aged kid who probably didn’t learn how to act growing up. Would not recommend this place and am mad at myself for not reading reviews prior to driving an hour to coming here.

The lady and the boy start work behind the counter and selling tickets are very unprofessional. They do not know how to speak to customers. I asked for a refund before my start time. The boy just took my tubing tickets and was doing something by the computer. They did not talk to me , did not explain the refund process amd charged me half the ticket price.. the tubing is not worth going for $50 where you wait your turn for 20 min everytime you slide down, withing your 2 hr time slot. We didnt even go sledding after seeing how slow it moves.. they still charged me half price..after 15 min of purchasing tickets. When I ask them the questions they wouldn't even reply to any of my questions. Got no receipt, no email receipt either. Very poor service.. I will be contacting the main office. They just took half of my money without explaining.

I have lived in Mchenry for 25 years and have never visited Wilmot Ski Resort or the tubing facility. Another family asked us if we would like to join them for tubing in Franklin, WI but since we drive right by Wilmot regularly with our small children, we felt it would be much more fun to finally try out Wilmot. Being that it was our first time there, we were pretty reliant on signs to direct us. Unfortunately there weren't many. The "front" of the tubing building was an exit only, so we continued along the sidewalk to to find the side entrance and what I thought would be the spot to register, it was not. There was an employee standing there fitting his helmet that paid us no attention. After walking passed the bathrooms and back I asked the same employee where I should go to register and he informed me it was around the corner. Again, no signs or clarity. I approached the area to obtain my reservation tags and there were three young ladies all standing around on their phones chatting. We received our tags with no other direction of where to go, what to do or to wish us a fun time. I found the initial customer service we experienced to be lacking enthusiasm and direction. We had a small drive there so we held off changing till we were inside since we were meeting another family. There wasn't a place to change at all and the women's bathroom was covered with water all over the countertop and garbage so we took turns holding each others items. We attempted to hang out in the concession area to wait for the rest of our party but there wasn't seating. We finally were able to make our way to the hill. No signs offered direction of where to go. Lines were extremely long at the top of the hill and we did notice that there were people there who had passed their time slots given the fact that everyone's tags were in plain view. There seemed to be a lot of confusion with the people working the top of the hill. We could hear the banter on the walkie talkies during our time there along with the inconsistency of rules. We took advantage of being able to double up with our kids so we didn't have to wait in a single line so long. The lack of enthusiasm and kindness that we experienced inside continued while we were on the hill. I wasn't wowed by my experience nor was the rest of our party. In the future, for the high price that Wilmot is charging for such a mediocre experience, I would rather try out another place that is half the price.

Wilmot used to be an incredible spot for snow tubing! Fastest hills and well worth the money! Last year was the complete opposite experience — for the amount you pay, there were less than 4 lines open on the ENTIRE run! Out of well over 20 lanes! Lines were ridiculously long! My niece and I might have gone down 3 times in a 2 hour time slot! They were not short staffed - there were 3 to 4 workers standing in each of the 5 lanes!! Extremely disappointing. You guys can & SHOULD do better than this!!
