Decent slopes for Midwest skiing, but I'm very disappointed with some things that I think need improvement. First of all, I discovered this place is 100% cashless. I didn't even see reverse ATMs here. While I didn't need to use a reverse ATM when I was last here 2 weeks ago, I think cash should be accepted again, or at least have reverse ATMs. What if I bring a friend that can't use his debit or credit card? What if I can't use my credit card and/or my debit card was stolen or I canceled it due to a scam? Even parents don't want to give their kids their own debit or credit cards for the cafe and service desk. I also didn't like the cashier I had last time I was there. He had almost no personality and would not give me a receipt for my hot chocolate drink. I did have a great ski instructor when I took a lesson last year, which at the time was my first time skiing in 15 years!! I thought the lockers were small and wish they were slightly bigger. They don't need to fit skis and snowboards. And I wish they would open earlier in the season and stay open later in the season, too! Overall, it's an okay ski/ride area with some mistakes that need to be addressed.

Signed my 5 yr old kid in their 3 weeks program. After 30 minutes of the lesson started, a coach asked my kid to wait on the left of the carpet with some kids. Around 20 minutes waiting, another coach asked them to walk to the other side of the carpet. And after 10 more minutes of waiting, still nobody is coming to tell him what to do next. He was left behind for more than 30 minutes until I asked someone who seemed like a manager. And we found his coach was coaching right there!?!? In that carpet area the whole time but no bother looking for her student. I am surprised how Wilmot manages this 3 week program. I guess we won't go back there for lessons again.

Great Midwest hill. Lift lines can get a little long at times but move quickly. Hard snow but fun runs. Always a good time.

Well located ski resort. The slopes are well-kept and the routes are even, although these routes are short, it is possible to ride. The downside of this resort is the old, even dangerous ski lifts and ridiculously high prices for ski passes. The ski pass costs $90 for an adult and $80 for a kids is too much for a resort of this type.

I learnt how to ski here as a kid and I think it’s a great resource for those in the Midwest who want to experience skiing in an inexpensive way

I’m sitting in a giant three-way line on the first day with real snow and because they couldn’t prepare correctly they’re making everybody wait while they plow the parking lot at 11 AM a full hour after they’re supposed to be open it’s just such a horrible disappointment at this place

Cancelled snowboarding lessons 2 days before lessons were set. Bought these tickets a month prior.Would have gone out to learn on our own, but we weren’t given the option to buy new tickets. I guess money is no good here!

I have been a season pass holder for 2 years but on and off pass holder for about 6 years. This place has gone down. When Vail first bought it out there’s were changes that altered the core atmosphere and feel that Wilmot used to have and introduced the big corporate look. With that change also came a lot of new snowmaking equipment that made local faithful and pass holders excited for future seasons. Alas, it’s been a couple years since that whole transition and that idea has fizzled out.The current day Wilmot is a shell of what it once was and it has a failing identity crisis paired with exuberant prices for, frankly, bottom-tier experiences. If you have gone out west once in your life to a ski resort on an actual mountain, you will find the entire ambiance and experience you are looking for at the same cost as a 200ft hill in Wisconsin. Not to mention, there are other resorts in this same exact area that have better snowmaking operations and mountain operations despite remaining private, and at a similar price point. So why on earth would anyone want to go to this resort. It’s a cash grab.I am so unbelievably disappointed in what this resort has become. On the bright side I am looking forward to starting a season pass at a new resort that will care for the pass holders and not just try to squeeze every nickel and dime out of the Chicagoland and Southern Wisconsin Ski/Snowboard scene.BRING BACK THE INDOOR FIREPIT
