Winkie's has been part of the neighborhood forever, and for good reason. The upstairs has a great assortment of candy, cards, wrapping paper, gift bags, party supplies, novelties and Wisconsin themed items (including cheeseheads for those visiting from out of town). The downstairs has household items and a nice selection of toys and games for all ages. The staff is always friendly and willing to help or answer any questions. This is a real neighborhood gem, and I need to remember that more often!

I was amazed at the expanse of this unique, bi-level, multi-experience store. My friend brought me to this store, and he had a real hard time getting me to leave!I thought this was just another toys-for-kids store. Boy. Was I wrong!I started on the lower level and didn't even finish looking at and exploring everything that was perfectly displayed.There were toys, games, puzzles, stuffed animals, multi-sensory, educational, arts and crafts, and books galore. There were things I hadn't seen in over 60 years since I was a kid!! Winky's has anything and everything that you could imagine and possibly either wanted or were lucky to have as a baby boomer growing up.And that was just the lower level! The next time I go, I will allow more time for myself and make sure I have enough money for everything I want.I'm looking forward to shopping at Winky's during the holidays. I bet the decorations are outstanding.My family and grandkids really enjoyed what I picked out for them. And, of course, I couldn't wait to give them. It brought back wonderful memories of years gone by.It truly is a wonderful experience and place to stop and shop. They stock items and gifts for kids, young and up. Kids at heart, like me! Just about anyone.There is ample parking in the rear of the store with an entrance to both levels of the store right there. There is also an entrance to the store in the front, or ground level of the store.Koodos to the employees who are very polite, courteous, helpful, and knowlgable. They will do what they can to make your shopping experience wonderful. They also have free gift wrapping.
