Younger to middle aged tall male cashier just told my 11 year old daughter and I, "the best gift my mom gave me was a knife to the stomach." He legitimately made a comment about being stabbed in the guts to me and a child. What the actual hell. All I could mutter was.. "effing Dollar General. You get what you pay for."

Unfortunately I don’t think dollar general as an organization does a very good job of taking care of their staff, and staffing their stores well. It takes a little while to get rung up because there’s usually only one person in the store. They do their best, but there’s also most of the time extra stock squeezed into aisles waiting to be put out. I still pop in when I need something, but not my first choice of store.

My biggest complaint about this location is the time it takes to get checked out. Usually you have to hunt a cashier down but today, the cashier was on the phone with a customer who it sounded like needed a return. Instead of placing them on hold, I had to wait to check out 1 item.
