I tried to enroll my child last minute due to COVID 19. I was told that would be no problem. My child was there all of 10 minutes before he was begging to leave. I was able to pick him up after he had been there for 2 hours, and he was still inconsolable. I had paid in advance, but now am told there are no refunds and told I'm "fortunate" I am not being held to a two week cancellation policy. I paid for a service that was not received. I was contacted by THEIR staff because my child hated being there.... But somehow this is my financial burden? Bad business practice in a time where everyone is struggling. Sad, because my review would be way different if the situation was handled better.** I also paid $60 for a registration fee that I did NOT request a refund for. That is for less than TWO hours of care, which is what my current (capable) provider charges in a week.

I was nervous about this school after seeing some of the reviews. However, due to the positive reviews I thought it would be worth the due diligence to go and check the place out, talk to the staff. They were very open and honest about my concerns. I felt confident enough to enroll my daughter here, and I am so happy I did! My daughter loves going to school! She is so excited everyday, just this morning as my husband and her were heading out the door I gave her an extra big hug and she said, " Its okay mommy, I have to go learn my abc's, see you little soon." She comes home and raves about her day and her new friends. This place it amazing.

My kids have gone to children's palace and I would recommend this daycare to everyone I know. My boys absolutely love it there and the staff and director treat my kids like one of their own. I've called them my extended family as they have done so much to mold and teach my boys so much.

*parents read* Children's Palace in west SalemMy daughter has been going to Children's Palace since she was four months old. I have walked in on staff members YELLING a children and saying "you're not my friend anymore" "I don't like you". Just recently my daughter came home with a red mark on her arm later it turned into a bruise. Turns out a staff member was walking my daughter to the front of the daycare and she wouldn't listen to go into the room (she's one) so the staff member grabbed her arm, twisted her around and drug her into the room with her feet not touching the floor. There was a teacher that pulled a little boys hair because he pulled someone else's hair. I reported it to the owner, Kim and the state licenser, Rita Miller and NOTHING was done about this. They continue to say that they will talk to staff. I haven't seen one change. Staff are constantly yelling at children even if they are in the infant room. The staff member that left a bruise on my daughters arm is still working at that daycare too. Apparently if she finishes her training she can come back... how is that okay? Please for your children's safety do not take your children there.
