I'm only giving 1 star because my family did have a place to sleep, but omg Family Promise is a center full of lies no promises. Kaitlyn was awesome, Amber was OK she did her job I hope she fines one that values her and everything she does. Didn't get to work with Dana too much, but she was cool too, the new black lady Patricia I hope she beat someone up if it don't seem right. From a black woman to another she know what i mean. Westbend is prejudice. So i hope she turn all the way up if they ever try to play her character. Lori Prescott is a selfish individual. Yes they make it look good, but the whole time taking from the poor. Lori Prescott took all my savings account money. The savings the participants in the program supposed to use when they find a place to stay. She charged me for repairs that wasn't needed, 400 dollars for cot mattresses. The list can go on. Family Promise of Washington County needs a new director. I really don't have to say much more. They get audited enough. They don't help you look for housing, they give the people the bare minimum. They lie about gift cards, gas cards, taxi vouchers. They look down on the people in the program. Including the ones who worked full time jobs. I wish I knew who talk too about this. I'm not stopping until I see what's right.

Assistants in this place is a joke! If your a new member good luck with temp placement until you can get a permanent place, because they rather hold on to people who program time is up, and come up with reasons why they still need to stay in program. They church to church routine every week is not idea for a family of more than two.The weekly neetings are also a joke!

Outstanding people, in depth , I was on the street in my truck for five months. They helped with a shower as needed, let my oxygen delivery to family promise. So I could get the tank I used for the nights. I and they worked hard to get housing, wasn't easy as you would think. God's blessings to you and your families this holiday season and thru the New year.

I had a short stay at Karl's Place the new homeless shelter program in West Bend and I have never been treated more poorly in my entire life. JoAnne the lead director is a hypocrate and cares nothing for the people who live here. She treats guests as if they are criminals locked up in a huber jail program and not as people who truly want to work hard to get back on their feet. I was kicked out of my mother's house because of the manipulative lies of mallory marx, who has convinced my easily manipulated mother that I have mental defect and a raging drug addictNeither of which are true. I used my own willpower to cut myself off of pharmaceuticals that i had been abusing for less then a year. I saw my stay at the shelter as a chance to share my story with other people and hopfully we all could've helped eachother reach the common goal of self sustainability. I was also willing to share all of my food stamps with my roomates and even offered to help teach them how to cook. When i went to my mother's house to pick up my personal belongings i was assulted by Mallory Marx and ACCUSED of being crazy and she demanded that i needed to go back on prozac and ritalin. After abusing me and holding me down in a chokehold Mallory Marx convinced my family to stand behind her word and not mine. I was arrested and spent the night in jail. No worries though all charges were dropped and i was released the next day. When i arrived at the homeless shelter i expressed concerns over the possibility that another girl had been texting the things i said in the building to Mallory Marx. To this JoAnne said that becausse i had forgotten to make a phone call from jail to the building that i was kicked out. She also expressed that she was concered for the safety of the other women in the facility because i had expressed my concerns of gossip. So JoAnne threw me out on the streets with little to bo concern about my well-being. No worries i will be contacting her supervisor. Oh also she did not answer all of my questions according to what i said. She is a hypocrite and has no place taking care of people who need help and understanding. Also there are rules to follow but some of the employees are friends with some of the residents and will bend the rules for their friends. I have more to say but i will be saving that for the supervisor of the program.
