Worst Post Office ever. This post office SCAMS people for additional postage once a package arrives for delivery. I am wondering if the Postmaster in West Bend gets a bonus for doing this... Also, they open every media mail package to check it. Then they deny its media because it has 50 years old ads in it. It is vintage memorable in paper form. They are criminal. And they are laughing all the way to the bank. But it's not their money, so this is something different. I have reported this to federal authorities.

Supervisor Torie is not a very nice person. Had a simple question and he came out with an attitude immediately. Called and complained about this to the regional office and they know all about it. Not the first report. At this point, just have to hope he finds Jesus. Whatever hurt he has had in his life he is taking out on others. Not sure how he is still a supervisor but hopefully the other employees do not follow his lead as a supervisor.

This post office SCAMS people. Asks for additional postage once package arrives. How does a 3.6 oz package need $12 for postage? Spoke to Alex and Rob and they are both clueless. Only post office in the country to do this. This seems illegal.

The mail carrier on our street constantly mixes up everyone's mail, and when you need to mail something out , he does not pick them up, been trying to send out my bills for days now , and there still in my mailbox , he refuses to take them. so bills can be late because the mailman can't do his job right.

Management may have changed here, though I've only been once I found the service to be fine and it's a nice and interesting building. I didn't have to wait long, and my package was delivered promptly and undamaged. Unlike UPS or Fedex, USPS will deliver to any address regardless of perceived racial or ethnic demography. Unlike UPS or Fedex, government postal workers do seem to make sincere attempts to deliver before diverting packages and parcels to some distant other location for inconvenient customer pick up. Convenient parking.

I have never had as many problems with package delivery in my home-owning life (11 years) as I have had the last couple months in West Bend. I realize I sound ultra paranoid, but it's almost as if they are amusing themselves by some unnecessary game of "Don't Deliver the Package." First they wouldn't leave packages at door... called and fixed that problem (they are supposed to). Next up: we are home but somehow missed their knock at the door in order to sign (btw, our Panera delivery guy doesn't seem to have a problem with us answering the door. I'm picturing the postal carrier playing their version of dong dong ditch), and now the latest: a package that not only was it small enough to fit in the mailbox, but it should have been left on the steps/porch. In other words, it did not need to be signed for. They never even left a slip, they just took the package back. I thought what I ordered (a Christmas present no less) was taking unusually long to deliver. I didn't know that it had been sitting in the post office for almost two weeks until I went to pick up a different package (that I missed signing for due to the ninja postal carrier's secret ways ). "NOT" was written on it, which I believe stands for the alleged claim of "no one there." Yup, great. Noone needed to be. I mean, it is likely I was home, but that's beside the point... I honestly don't understand why this is a problem. If it does not fit in mailbox, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND ALL THAT IS HOLY, PLEASE LEAVE THE PACKAGE AT THE DOOR.

Some mail carriers are dedicated and honorable. Unfortunately, one can count those with the fingers on one hand. Most of these mail carriers do not care about the job nor the importance their job plays in the USA economy.

Normally I think the USPS does a fairly good job (if you ignore the fact that they are a money pit). But If you do a quick search online you'll see quite a few bad reviews of the West Bend outfit. And for good reason. Efficiency and general competence aren't a common thing here. The latest for me is being charged postage due (for the fourth time this year) for items I've purchased online. And in every case the sellers have insisted that they mail things on a daily basis and never screw up their postage. I'd believe them over the USPS. Apparently the local postal employees can't figure out how to work a scale. Or maybe they're skimming a quarter here and there. Who knows. But it means I have to go down to their office and stand in line for 15 minutes to pay their 35 cents so I can get my package. In all it ends up taking an hour of my day. My time is worth a lot more than 35 cents an hour.

Mail packaged can be dropped off inside the west part of the lobby till 4:30pm Saturdays. The drop slot door fits stuff a little bigger than a full size phone book.
