I recently was a first time customer with Midcoast Auto and will be going back when my car needs it.
Johnny and the other staff were not only helpful, but honest, offering options. We talked through what they felt absolutely needed to be done on my car, and what I could wait on for another time if I wanted.
They have a lock box system that was incredibly convenient, making it possible for me to pick up my car after hours and on the weekend.
I'll be recommending Midcoast Auto to people in the area that need service. Thanks for the great experience!

Wow! That's all I can really say!
Took my car in on Tuesday for a check engine light. Took them 5 hours to do a diagnostic, contact my extended warranty company to get everything approved, and order the parts. The last shop I went to took 4 days just to contact my warranty company, so 5 hours felt like nothing!! Got my car in an hour after open on Tuesday morning and got it back Tuesday afternoon!
All around an amazing shop. Very nice staff, great communication, and the quickest mechanic I've ever been to! (I didn't have major issues that needed to be fixed, but I've had smaller issues that took way longer at previous shops!!)
All that to say Midcoast Auto will be my permanent mechanic from now on, and I'll be recommending them to everyone that will listen!!

They told me I needed new break, took it somewhere else and they showed me the breaks and I in fact DID NOT NEED NEW BREAKS!!!!! They went as far as telling me my breaks were paper thin and that I need the back breaks as well and didn’t have much life left on them. Wouldn’t recommend this place!

Had work done to pass emission and was very pleased with the results. Aside from that they were very friendly and explained what needed to be done. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get some work done.

I'm so very impressed! It is difficult to find a reputable, convenient, & service-oriented auto shop knowledgeable in BMW's. My 2015 X3 engine dangerously overheated. Midcoast Auto was 1 of 3 referred to me by my extended warranty company (many independents don't want to deal with that), & has excellent reviews. Junior was extremely helpful, actually had a cancellation the next day so was able to get my ride in immediately. They worked directly with the warranty company, which covered repairs for the water pump, & were able to diagnose, get needed parts, & complete all work in same day! Communication was stellar throughout the process. My car was left clean & purring like a kitten :). Unfortunately, my warranty did not cover the needed thermostat or serpentine belt (I get it), but I was thrilled / relieved that my portion of the repair cost after warranty & deductible was quite reasonable. Work was done on a Friday, & on Monday I received a follow up text from Jon, checking in on things - nice touch & very customer-focused! I've already referred my son & his older Lexus to Midcoast. It was a very positive experience - recommend them.

I’m in the process of getting my car fixed through RepairPal. Midcoast Auto was an option. Not only is JR honest and straightforward, he’s professional and friendly. He tells you what NEEDS to be done as well as what repairs will look like in the future. Awesome guy!

Best Mechanic in town.
You can't go wrong with Midcoast auto.
I tried many mechanics before, but this one is THE ONE. Great work, and prices.

I had a full engine replacement that was going through an extended care insurance plan. Midcoast and Jon were so helpful and so understanding. It took almost a month for insurance to get everything sorted and Midcoast never got upset or frustrated. I got my car back in better condition than I sent it in and I am so thankful for all their help and understanding!

I took my vehicle to Midcoast Auto for an air cooler turbo boost issue, and they did a wonderful job repairing my vehicle!!!! I was impressed with their service overall, And it took about a week for the repair to be done but at least it was done correctly. I recommend mid Coast auto to anyone who needs their vehicle repaired.

I Did not have a good experience at this shop. Took car in for oil leak. I was told the problem was I needed a new gasket. I and insurance co authorized work. Work was completed. I found this out 2 weeks later car still leaking oil after checking my fluid levels and could see oil present and leaking. Took my car back to midcoast and was told by owner “we fixed the problem your car has multi gaskets we can take car in and check to see if others are leaking and repair if you like.” The total for previous work was well over ” $1000 Why was I not told this in the first place??? this was a waste of time and money.
