If I could give this place a 0, I would. It definitely doesn't deserve a 1, and I see this place hasn't even made a 4 which should tell you something. This place has always been quite questionable, but it's recently gone down hill very, very fast. I am not the only one who now refuses to buy hot food there since Janna has been hired and has been threatening to spit in people's food, and being caught by other customers saying she'd deny it. Janna is also the rudest employee, she doesn't say a word when she's ringing up your items, no, "Hi, how are you?" "Thanks for coming, have a great day!" Instead, she will slam your items around and shove your bag in your face when she's done. The 2 young, blond haired female employees are the only ones who have always been respectful. The employees, Alison and Becky, were caught talking about someone's medical emergency event in front of a store full of customers including the actual person who had the medical event. The employees go out to smoke and don't wash their hands when they return which is against state health department regulations and is disgusting. They watch us through the window while they're out smoking (good luck if you need their assistance with anything, tobacco comes before you) and when we're ready to check out, they go right to the counter without washing their hands. The outdoor entrance is littered with the EMPLOYEES half cigarettes that they unfortunately had to put out to help a customer, there's employee half cigarettes in the windowsills outside and all over the ground in front of the door. This is employees we're talking about. Not to mention, customers have to walk through their nasty cigarette smoke just to get inside because the employees smoke right in front of the entrance instead of in a designated smoking area away from the door and customers. It's just nasty. It's like walking up to a bar. Absolutely no care in the world about who's breathing in their harmful chemicals, they don't even care about the children who have to walk through it.
The food and merchandise is extremely overpriced and extremely shrunken. A small, camping size bottle of ketchup is 3x the price of a huge bottle at Walmart. This is what is called Shrink-flation. The eggs are commercial with see-through shells and are extremely overpriced for being junk and extremely small. (Go to the Driftless Gems next to the bar 3 blocks away for real, LARGE, organic, farm fresh eggs for $3/carton) The milk starts going bad as soon as you open it and gets a gross looking film on it. It also starts smelling sour within 2 days. They do not have fresh fruits, just cut up select fruits like strawberries in containers that obviously introduces bacteria immediately upon being cut and takes away from potential uses by being pre-cut, and also way overpriced. Sometimes they have one bunch of bananas. The only fresh veggies they have is green peppers. Also, way overpriced. The hot sandwiches have hard, crusty buns from being left out for so long, the tacos and subs are haphazardly rushed, and people are actually having to ask for their pizzas to be cooked extra long because the crust is so soggy that it makes us gag. That is undercooked pizza and is a health hazard.
Nobody except those 2 blond female workers make anyone feel like their money spent there is even appreciated. Tons of us have said how we are made to feel like an inconvenience for simply walking through the cigarette plume and being in the building.
All around, if you are looking for good employee/customer interaction, customer appreciation, good food, management that is willing to make things better for the customers and hold their employees accountable, and reasonable prices, this is NOT the place to shop, EVER.
The owners have NEVER done a single thing about any of this if you were wondering how they feel about you as a paying customer.

Stopped in Sunday morning around 11 to grab a cup of coffee and danish….no small cups had to grab a medium, kinda high $1.59…regular coffee was out, decaf had about 3/4 cup and then it was out..no fresh danish…not one donut but I wouldn’t have got one the sign said $1.75 a piece..picked up a 5” wrap of barbecue chicken cut in half $4.69…..got a mile out of town took a bite of the barbecue chicken that didn’t have one drop of barbecue on it,went to wash it down…ICE COLD coffee…I guess when your the only gas station in town and right across the street from a high school you can over charge and under quality products….know better next time….

Good pizza. The station is going through a bit of a remodeling so it is looking fresh and new.

BEST BREAKFAST PIZZA I've EVER had!!! A little more than I'd like to pay, but honestly worth it. Has everything on it to make an amazing pizza, plus they bake it to perfection! The meat sticks at the counter are also amazing, just the right amount of flavor! Some things are a little pricey for just regular every day items, but it IS the only store in a small town. Laundry mat attatched is great. Reliable machine and clean environment.

Gross pizza, not worth getting the essentials for groceries there, way out of price.

Not much in Wauzeka. Above average prices but they have laundry machines, Picadly Pizza, chicken nuggets etc. Awesome hand scooped ice cream. Friendly staff let me use phone as I had no cellular service.
