So happy I found Mayfair Animal Hospital & ER. Everyone is kind, friendly, and professional. Maverick, Zena and Bandit and I will be clients forever!

I cannot thank them enough for taking care of my cat. I had a bad experience elsewhere and called them and they answered all my questions I was able to bring my cat in and get her taken care of right away! She had 9 teeth pulled, and now she is back to normal. They took my concerns serious that I felt other places weren’t. Super affordable as well! They explain everything to you step by step. Will 100% recommend to anyone.

Brought my cat in for urgent care - called in prior to driving in and was able to speak to kind and knowledgeable staff. Once I drove in I was seen promptly and my cat was very well cared for! Not a fun situation to deal with but a very good staff to have for help. Clinic was nice and clean and well updated, payment was detailed out and easily taken, surgery was quick and I was updated immediately - a positive experience with a great staff during a stressful time!
Updated to add: I had to go back in with my cat - I wasn’t able to keep him calm enough post surgery so he needed a bit more attention. The staff was just as excellent on my second visit, and helped me to get a quick resolution at a very reasonable cost. I hope to never need urgent care but if I do I will absolutely return here!

We took our sweet pup there this past Saturday evening, but they were so busy that they couldn't accept any more patients. They suggested going to Illinois since all the nearby animal hospitals were full. We returned the next day and were in and out in about an hour and a half. At check-in, they were kind and got us into a room within 10 minutes. Leslie, our vet tech, was kind, knowledgeable, and empathetic. Dr. Amber was fantastic and very friendly. We left with a prescription and a treatment plan, and the cost was comparable to what my regular vet would charge. I've been following their instructions, and our pup is doing so much better! I'll definitely use their services again and recommend them to others!

I initially brought my dog in a year ago for an emergency and because of how he reacted then I wanted to continue his general care with them. I don’t know what magic dog mist that they put in the air or what special touch these vets and technicians and nurses have but I have never had a vet visit this successful with my dog Fudgie. I adopted him when he was three with behavioral issues and fear aggression, and the fact that he didn’t need to be muzzled and didn’t growl and didn’t snap when they touched him or got near him or did an exam, I have no words. I know that they’re professionals and this is their job, but I don’t think you’ll ever understand the impact that you have on people and dogs, and how much this truly means.

We took our dog Coco in with a issue and everyone there was so kind and helpful and treated Coco with such great care. Then went over all possible treatments. You just can not expect anything more than that .

Everyone was very nice and friendly, but services are way over priced I was told that there was no guarantee on a 1500 surgery and when I bout my pet back they offered me another 1700 surgery then when we came back again they tried to charge me for a dressing change that didn’t even last through the car ride home. Terrible care had to eventually get my pet euthanized and I’m still crying.
After my traumatizing experience they had the audacity to send a $65 bill to collections that I do not owe!!!!!!

My girlfriend took her cat in who was suffering from a urinary block. They cleared the blockage and immediately released him. He couldn’t pee on his own when we got him back and had to take him right back to a different hospital. The level of care he has received there has been astonishingly more thorough and thoughtful than the care he received at Mayfair. The only thing her cat received at Mayfair was MEDICAL MALPRACTICE.

I have been taking my dog Rosie to Mayfair since she was a puppy and have always had wonderful experiences. Rosie is a nervous girl and the whole team always does so much to help make her comfortable while diagnosing and taking care of the issues at hand. Highly recommend if you are in search of a great vet in the area!

My daughter’s cat was diagnosed with a bowel obstruction at a local ER vet. Estimate for repair was 6-8 thousand. The cat was stable enough to take home to have our vet do the surgery. Unfortunately our vet doesn’t have a surgeon available on Fridays. Mayfair was the only clinic that would do the surgery! Care was outstanding and the cost was 1/4 of the cost. Highly recommend. I have since found out that most of the local veterinarian clinics seem don’t seem to have appropriate staff to see patients other then for wellness visits.

I brought my dog in for care for kennel cough that lead to pneumonia. The vet, as well as all the entire staff were so kind and considerate of my pup. They answered all my questions and took care of my pup in a timely matter! Love this place!???

My dog got sick my vet told me to take her to the hospital when we got there they did blood work and her liver wasn’t functioning properly. They told us she needed an MRI or CT which was going to be around $3000 but it wouldn’t matter because she would not be able to take any medicine because of her liver. I’m a nurse so I knew that was wrong. I called our vet and explained what was going on. He told me she needed to be hospitalized so they could get her seizures under control. We ended up taking her across town to VCA where she was hospitalized and given IV keppra. Turns out the seizure condition was pre-existing and it was triggered by the liver issues. The liver function was an easy fix it turned out she has an intolerance to an ingredient in her food. VCA gave her a ten day course of medication for her liver and told us to change her food. We were given oral seizure medication and we took her home. We had a follow up with our vet 10 days later and her liver function was back to normal and her seizures are under control. If we had taken our dog home like Mayfair Animal Hospital told us she would have been dead within a day. I believe they may have good staff but they don’t seem to be up to date or aware of life saving treatments for animals. I really hope they see this and decide to do some additional training. Plus going to Mayfair Animal Hospital cost me $600 for nothing when I only spent $1300 at VCA that covered all the tests, medication and an overnight stay.
