“Credit unions are much better than the big evil corporate banks. I want to remind everyone, the big three banks that control 80% of all North American banking tanked our economy in 2008 and recovered from taxpayer bailouts, then increased fees from us for bloated executive salaries and bonuses. Credit unions are better for local communities, our economy, and your finances. And UW Credit Union is one of the better credit unions. As the Christian holidays approach, now might be a good time to review how credit unions and savings and loans work by watch "It's a Wonderful Life." Then open up an account here. I refinanced my student loan here and there's now a chance I might pay it off by the time I die. I have a savings and checking account, and this location in particular is comfortable, spacious, friendly, and the workers are funny and sincere. No scripted nonsense and no one has ever annoyed me by saying "have a nice rest of your day." I really hate that. Easy parking.”

“As I walked in I was graciously greeted by an employee which I liked in case I didn't know where to start he was right there to assist me. I then had immediate service at the counter which was very pleasant. I would only make one suggestion, when there are multiple people at all three counters receiving assistance, we can all here each others transactions while in process, now that I totally do not like, there is no privacy between csr while conducting the transaction. Maybe some wood sounding boards to separate the three people or fiberglass separaters. Other than that the service is excellent.”

“Erroneous, wildly exorbitant late fee applied even though payments are being sent in automatically well in advance of due date. I really do not need the hassle. One of my personal pet peeves is having to spend my personal time to help people find the money that we have already sent them. - Update - no help from their rep Alicia Ramirez, although the check arrived on the 3rd and would not have been past due until the 5th. So to be clear - we are being charged a late fee for a payment that is due on the 1st, arrived on the 3rd, and is contractually not late until the 5th. This will be going to small claims court. - Final Update - Alicia was able to clear this up for me, thanks for the help.”

“Friendly staff helpful guidance on CD rates. Interest rates on savings and checking accounts are awful and I'm guessing its bad all around. This bank is very cool looking as its pretty new and modern. Parking was ok they are near a pick n save. It's good to see more pnc opening in the area I use them when traveling. They are 4th or 5th largest bank...I think?”

“I've been a customer of WaterStone Bank via the Wauwatosa branch on State Street in the Village of Wauwatosa for a few years now and I've not once been disappointed by the level of service I have received. The staff is friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and professional. I also love that the customer service center is staffed by real people in the Milwaukee area. So when I call, I talk to a friendly person who lives nearby, rather than a machine or a person who lives halfway across the globe. Few things are more frustrating than sitting on hold for 30 minutes waiting for a customer service rep, hitting 0 over and over to talk to a real person. It's almost unbelievable in this day and age to call a company's customer service line and have it answered by a human being! Thank you WaterStone for keeping your customer service operations in our area. [Full disclosure, I am a WaterStone employee, but not at the Wauwatosa branch where I primarily bank.]”
