Everything started off great, they were able to locate the source of the noise that several other shops couldn’t. The racket was from my starter, simple fix. The new starter very soon started making a similar racket and I called the shop, left a message, waited, called again, left a message and after the 3rd message i received a call back. No problem, starter is under warranty. Great. I make the appointment get the starter fixed, take my car there the night before and very late the next afternoon I receive a phone call asking me what noise exactly the truck was making and I explained and the gentleman said, ok, we will look again. 45 minutes later he calls says my truck is done and is in a rush and hangs up. I pick up my truck after hours because it was finished so late and I never got an explanation as to what was done to the vehicle. About 2 days later I hear a strange clicking noise coming from the same part of my truck tht all the other noises had been coming from. I called the shop so many times, no answer, no call back. So I showed up there. Took a very nice gentleman on a test drive but he can’t hear noise. Ok. I wait a week, noise gets worse, take same guy on test drive but he can’t hear it still. He did however replace the metal plug tht went missing from the housing around the flywheel and tell me they did in fact put a new starter in. But after another week of driving my car is doing things no car should do with a bad starter but hey! That’s my luck…I called n called n called no answer. I call from a different number and they answered. Coincidence? Told them I wanted gm starter n not aftermarket. Waited 3 days for them to find the part, 5 days for it to ship, and 11 days after part came in to get an appointment to put the part in my car. At this point, my car is acting so goofy I should not be driving it. When u start it, the car is thrown sideways..anyways I get my car back and when I’m done with work that night, my car won’t start. I’m sure you can imagine my fury. I’d call, but my assumption would be no one will answer. Thankfully it’s just a loose battery cable connection but what if I was a female that wouldn’t know that? And is that the only thing not tightened?!?! The only way I’ll ever be back is if any of the work they’ve done malfunctions. I’ve had 3 grand in work done there this summer.

I will be the 1st one to say I have no knowledge of cars and what mechanics have to do. That said, west side auto treats me no different than an experienced car enthusiast. I ask questions and they answer in the most knowledgeable and respectful way. Most places say you need XY or Z part and how much. Here they explain the whys and how it’s important to have XY or Z. Friendly, patient, and very supportive of the customer experience is what sets this place apart from the other shops in the area. This is a must go to place for your automotive needs.

Had a check engine on our RV while passing thru Wausau. Stoped at West Side Auto. They check the code and since it was under Mercedes warranty, they helped us find a MB dealer et towing. They were very helpful and did not even charge us.

Last week my car started having issues accelerating while on my way home to Colorado. I called west side auto explained our situation and they were able to get us in ASAP. Thankfully it was a “quick” fix and we were back on the road in under two hours. Great customer service, great mechanics. Very greatful for them!

Hands down the best shop in the area! Great staff, fair and reasonable prices, honest service, and quality work! They take the time to explain the issues and repairs as best they can; as a single woman, I have never been talked down to, and they work hard to get my vehicle in as soon as possible. I cannot recommend this shop enough!

My car would not start. They got it in the same day I called to have it looked at, and had it fixed the same day for less than $50. I have been going here for years and have recommend them to may other people, and none of us have been let down by their professionalism, work ethic, and affordability. I highly recommend them!.

I came in on a crisis. Hundreds of miles from my home it started misfiring and all the lights came on. I limped the car about 8.5 miles to get there and they took critical time out of their day, and made me a smiling customer. Now the car runs great and sorry Wausau, I'm. Passersby now. Thanks for solving my average problem under extraordinary care. Thanks for getting me back on the road Brian! AAA 100% ☆☆☆☆☆
