I went a few weeks ago to get a curly hair tailored cut. I was expecting to get a consultation done while my hair was styled; like I wear it everyday / how I came in. I was also expecting to have some tips and pointers on how to style my hair better and other products to be using. I guess I didn't have the correct expectations.
Immediately when I sat down in the chair, they started to comb my hair with a fine tooth comb before even assessing my curls. I just felt that I knew way more about curls than the stylist did. Using the fine tooth comb, drying hair with a towel, styling the curls when they've been air drying 20 mins just isn't right for curly hair. Paying $70 for a curl specific haircut was definitely not worth it. I would definitely not recommend getting this service.
The salon is very nice and clean. The staff is very polite. The scalp massage was amazing! Just paying the extra for the curl specific cut is not worth it!

You cannot go wrong with Verve and the atmosphere! I had been traveling back to the Twin Cities for years to have my hair cut, but after having children I needed to find a place locally. Finding a hairstylist that you connect with can be as difficult as finding a therapist! I found Marie in about 2010, and I have not needed to look elsewhere since. Marie is as good as it gets when it comes to someone who knows how to cut hair and tailor it to each specific person and their needs/wants; she listens to the client and builds from there. The staff is always friendly, helpful and accommodating. I would also recommend Jerry Jones for any barbering needs. Verve is a terrific place and I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great haircut experience.

I get my haircut by Foua and I am always so pleased! My cut is always cute, stylish, and suits me. She’s incredibly friendly and everyone I interact with there is equally welcoming.

Verve is the best salon I’ve ever been to! Not only because Jerry gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had but because how he made the whole experience great and comfortable while he cut and showed me how to style my hair.
