We bought a new spa in November of 2022 from another dealer,and had a bad time trying to get the water clear. We went to a place in Weston Wis for water testing.They tested the sample I brought in. For 4 months I was testing and adding chemicals to the spa as directed.I spent a lot of money on chemicals that I know now was not necessary.After 4 month I was ready to give up altogether ,Until my girlfriend mentioned there was another place by menards in Wausau.That was PlaceWay Pools. I brought a sample in , Dan Ehmke Was working, and he tested the sample and found it was so far off.He gave me a sequence of procedures to follow, and instructed me to bring another sample in after I completed the list of chemicals to add. The next sample showed very big improvements, but we had more to do to get it right.Two more small adjustments,And I am one very happy spa owner* months now and still clear water.Thank You so much Dan Ehmke,You made ours spa times relaxing and fun!!!

We have been using Placeway in Wausau for over 20 years, even with it being a two hour round trip for us. Always helpful and a great experience made easy by Dan. We will be exclusive Placeway customers for another 20 years and beyond.

Horrible customer service! I couldn't get them to come to my house and trouble shoot the hot tub. Instead they tried to get me to buy an $850 control panel and $800 to install it. I was told you can't test a pressure switch or a temperature sensor. Well quess what? I tested the switch and it was good so I correctly guessed the problem was the sensor. I put it in my self and it fixed the problem. Total cost ...$27.00

After purchasing a house with a pool and having no pool experience, we turned to Placeway for assistance. They are excellent! They are always willing to help and answer our questions, and are very straightforward and upfront in telling you what you need/don't need. Great, honest company! The only pool company in Wausau I'll use now!

We have had a spa for a couple years now. They are always so willing to help. Free water test is always so much more reassuring than the test strips. Honored warranties and even helped with small parts replacement which fixed the problem at no cost. Thank you all so much for making our first spa ownership so easy?

Everyone has issues but these people take it to the next level. Waited along time for our pool liner which we understood however after one year wait and than a two year wait we wondered if they forgot to order. They took it personally when questioned instead of helping find a solution. People make mistakes but my recommendation is don’t make this one on doing business with them. They are unprofessional and rude, but blame the customer in the end!

I am so grateful for Placeway! I was previously arguing with Pool People (Schofield WI) for the last 9 months regarding a malfunctioning/overheating tub under warranty. Dan from Placeway took the time, listened to my frustrations and offered suggestions. Placeway is compassionate, knowledgeable and prompt. 5 Stars and then some for Placeway!!

The staff at Placeway have been very kind and helpful. I like that they give you a discount on your pool products if you buy from them. I know many people that buy their products from big box stores and have no problems. I however prefer to give a local company my business. I love that I can drop off my sample and have it tested at no charge and get a list of instructions to get our water just right. I also like that every spring after not being in their store for over six months I'm always greeted by name.
