“Prices are much higher at this location near Bridge Street than the same Family Dollar on Grand Ave., Also much friendlier and welcoming employees at the one on Grand Ave. Today a young male employee who wore glasses was very rude when addressing my 3yr old. Which he could've asked me and I would've handled it. So my 3yr old was, while i was checking out, he stood on the shelf where the candy bars and gum are at so he could see what was going on, not a big deal, not like he weighs something to break it. Other than that, the other employees are cool. A couple however you can tell are higher than kites while at work. On a different day, myself along with another customer were just standing there watching the particular employee nod off...I mean they were bent over at the waist, head down, full blown nodding. The other customer coughed after a couple of minutes and that woke the employee up.. Who then proceeded to go very very slowly almost like they were in a trance or as if bagging a few items in slow motion.Ughh*Update* New employees, seems like a high turnover rate at this store..due to wages.. But other than that... No complaints. No drugged up employees either.. Or at least that I'm aware.”

“Long line, one cashier with a second one near enough to help. In fact, she walked to a register aisle and was asked by a patron if she was opening her lane and she replied with "No." And continued to walk away into the other checkout lane. Not impressed with the service on her part. She then opened her lane after about five minutes of the line growing. Pleasant cashier that I waited in line to checkout with as opposed to going to the second one that opened.”

“It's a dollar store, so many random items for low prices. This is a great place to purchase fun, non-educational kid toys, like Play-Doh, mini etch-a-sketches, reward stickers, bubbles, etc. This store carries lots of seasonal merchandise, like holiday decorations and wrapping paper. Interestingly, there are items in the freezer section that you can't find in any other stores in the Wausau area, but can find in bargain club stores in larger cities.”
