“We stopped in this lovely store while on a short visit. Not only is it filled with a wonderful variety of beautiful items, but the service is beyond unbelievable! I found some wonderful gifts for Christmas and a few other gifts for friends and family. A lady behind the counter who I’m assuming is the owner was just wonderful! Everything I bought was beautifully gift wrapped at no extra cost! I think I vaguely remember that kind of customer service from the department stores in the “old days“ and haven’t ever seen anything like it since. That is until coming to this lovely shop! I’m thrilled that I can still order some things online and will be doing so soon. If you’re in the area, this shop is a must visit.”

“I love this shop! There is something for almost everyone within these four walls. I have both gotten gifts and received gifts from here over the years. The staff are always very friendly. They have lots of snarky and sweary things, clothing, hats, housewares, and decor. Things are well priced. Definitely stop in!”
“If I lived in or near Madison I'd probably be broke. :) I found Anthology on Facebook and quickly hopped over to their website. I realized they sell something called 'good things, small packages' and immediately wanted to order one. As a lover of grab bags growing up (and still!), this offering really spoke to me. What you get will be unexpected! When placing your order you get to include your likes/favorites. For example, a couple of the things I included were: midwest, 1984, purple, rocks/gemstones, anthropomorphic foods, coffee. I had a specific sticker request and they included it! Fast forward a few days and squeee! My 'good things/small package' just arrived and it brought a huge smile to my face. Stickers, decals, a purple Gelly Roll pen! My 11-yr old self reemerged. A very fun gift to myself. I plan to order again and purchase the next size up. The $25 price included shipping. Thank you, Anthology, for curating a package that was very customized. I'll be ordering again!”

My daughter and I entered the store for the first time. We were both greeted warmly and asked if there was any we were interested in. I virtually never leave a store as this type without purchasing something.
I stated I wasn't sure and the stated in the same tone and volume I had just finished working.
The owner/ manager and employee turned to each other and started to chat. No worries. We browsed the store and I needed a quite replacement item and I found it. My daughter picked up a couple of items.
The store is well organized and seems to cater to a variety of clientele. Parking is sufficient.”

“Little Luxuries is one of our favorite gift shops. We always find unique items that we haven’t seen in other places. If you’re looking for Wisconsin things, stop here before anywhere else. Their shop is also only a four-minute walk from the farmers’ market on the square.
They also keep signed copies of our book, Secret Wisconsin, in stock.”
“I recently went inside the shop after a tour of Monona Terrace. They have very nice things arranged in a spacious, non-cluttered way. I bought a couple of fun items and made a mental note of three other items I thought sure I'd find cheaper online. I couldn't find one of them anywhere online (yes, I tried Google), and the other two were much more expensive online! That impresses me the most about the gift shop. An affordable gift shop? Yes.”

“Madison Modern Market has been one of my favorite stores since moving to Madison. Their prices align with the market and match the brand merchandise price as well. The brand ‘Baggu’ is the #1 thing I go here for and I appreciate that their pricing matches the original products. They even set aside their last in stock tablet case over the phone so that I could come pick it up! They always have such fun, unique, and useful items that make the perfect gift. Staff is always friendly and accommodating.”

“I’ve been to Katy’s multiple times over the past couple of years and have always had a positive experience, Katy and the other store clerks are very knowledgeable and helpful. Recently my partner and I got our wedding bands there and couldn’t be more excited! These rings are from a Diné (Navajo) designer in New Mexico called The Supersmiths who are known for their unique inlay work. My partner and I first discovered their designs at a Native jewelry store in Arizona and through their website we were able to find that we could purchase their work locally right here in Madison! The staff was super helpful and knowledgeable and showed me things I didn't notice (like the fact that a rack with flowy skirts also had pants) and that you sell belts and on and on.
