I like the 5 year old low mileage pickup I found at Waukesha Carmax. The sale was going well up to being “handed off” to a new guy when the starting salesman had to leave. He had left some unusual details to be worked out. I didn’t like the pushy trying to sell me an extended warranty. And I still haven’t received my title and transfer of plates. Though perhaps these last two matters are not their fault. And I suppose if I had received those documents I would have rated them at least a 4 stars.

Seriously. HANDS DOWN. THE. MOST. HASSLE FREE. car buying experience I have ever had!!! And I've got some troublesome bad credit and low credit history. I started my buying process online. While I was waiting for the document validation process on line ((it says it takes a few days)) I started to get anxiety that I did something wrong, and I'm old school I don't trust too much online.. and how the heck do you buy a car online?!?!?! That's nuts!! Anyways, went into the store, explained what I did. Shannon helped me finish up the process. Super freaking nice!! Answered ALL of my weird questions, didn't make me feel dumb or uncomfortable at all even with all of the time consuming dpcuments i had to find to email in... it was time consuming on MY part because I didn't have the correct documents needed, but they helped me and got others involved that could help speed up the process in any way they could to make it easier.. ZERO pressure with everything.. it was a great, great, great, great, GREATTTT experience. All of the staf VERY friendly and welcoming and all willing and able to answer your questions!! I am a customer for life now!! See you soon to buy my sons car!! I give them a million stars!!!!

I was satisfied with the Carmax offer for my car, but after spending an hour gathering and uploading a large amount of documentation including driver license photos, title, registration, proof of ownership, etc, I was frustrated that much of this same information was asked for again when I arrived to turn my car in, and the Carmax associate had to walk away each time to make copies of the documents.
Why did I bother to upload them? It took almost an hour when it should have taken 20 minutes.

My experience at Carmax went very smooth as usual. We were greeted by the employees as soon as we came in the door. This is my 2nd time buying a car from here and everyone that helped us treated us with the utmost respect. I would definitely buy from this Carmax again!

Everyone there is super nice but it was very below average experience. Spent 5 hours + there, car was given with mediocre prep work done, only 1 car key!
Wont get into all those details but to top it off weeks later they call and want to change the deal and give me my old car back and redo the paperwork for the new one I bought. "Just come on back in and we'll take care of this" hahaha right! Been treated better by any dealer ive ever worked with sorry

Best customer service. Many paperwork issues but the staff really took care of me and my husband each time we had to come back. I love that they saw us coming (my husband uses a wheelchair) and always greeted us and held the door!
