They exchanged their plastic bags with cheap paper bags with useless handles that are barely attached to the bag, and they don't open a second register anymore until the line is so long that customers start walking out of the store.
The remodeling that they did in some of the stores is nice, but I think Aldi has gone downhill a little lately.

Adli's is way more economical. Smaller selection than something like pick n save but well worth it.

Paul gave my order to another customer, because he asked my name (and the customer misheard their name bc the employee had a mask and the customer was in their car). There were multiple checks that would've determined that he had the wrong car, given that they were different make, models and colors. I even noted which stall I was in on the app. And still wrong. I usually stand by my trunk and wait and I seriously regret not doing so today. The other customer drove away and came back (30min round trip of me waiting), so my groceries were thawing in a stranger's car. Uncomfortable. And then when the other customer came back he brought out her stuff, put mine back in a cart, then wheeled back over to me. This lady had to walk across out cars and come get her groceries (including two jugs of milk in this heat).
And ofc they have no managers on staff. So instacart will handle it for me, and I'll seriously consider using another store.
update: instacart offered me a full refund, it's not something Aldi could do. But definitely uncomfortable with this being just a mistake to the employee. Yeah, mistakes happen, but they have consequences, and this one wasn't okay so IDK why he was surprised that "sorry" wasn't enough. They need to have some sort of power to make it right. Kwik trip would've offered me a free car wash...

I normally love Aldi, my local one is amazing. I was visiting family in the area, and stopped with them at this location. It was very dirty inside, there was squished produce all over the floor. The whole produce area was dirty too, lots of opened packages, not well stocked. The cashier wasn't very friendly either, you could tell she didn't want to be there.

My mother and I cheerfully were out and about today (06/28/24) and decided to make a stop at this Aldi location. As we went to check out, having a jolly time, we were "greeted" with an unpleasant and unfriendly cashier. She found it necessary to snip at us, and couldn't even force a smile or even a hello in our direction. Aldi might want to find some happy people to be out in the front lines of the store to help enhance a friendly, warm environment for their customers. This would allow customers to have a beautiful experience and actually want to come back again to shop some more. After all, the cashier's are representing this company. Thank you Sydney in Waukesha for putting a damper on our Friday evening.

Don't waste your time... I bought two bags of carrots got home, and upon opening. Realized they were terribly slimy, I proceeded to check the date to find they were dated for April... This was in June mind you. Cut my cucumbers, they tasted more vile than anything I've ever eaten. Shop somewhere they actually have fresh produce. I doubt store is a rare exception for their level of quality across all branches...

Wonderful experience! Had to exchange couch covers for sofa. Told the male associate and he went in the back and brought out an unopened box for me. 5 star service ALDIs!
