My kids ordered me some chicks for me for Father's day 2022 I was so pleased with the quality in these buff orpington chickens that I ordered more for may 2023 they didn't disappoint. Over the yeats I've ordered from other hatcheries not really happy with the birds when I receive the chicks and problems with health I can say this by far was my best and happiest experience ordering chicks from any hatchery I have bought from wbe

We ordered 10 reds and, 1 rooster, 5 Orpington and 1 rooster, 3 Wyandotte, and 3 light Brahmas in May. They arrived promptly and healthy but short 2 chicks. They promptly refunded the money to my card for the 2.It is now October and all of them are doing wonderful. Very healthy happy chickens.A few started laying 2 to 3 weeks ago.So far we are getting 11 eggs per day. New ones laying every couple of days. This hatchery is great and we highly recommend them.

If I could give them more stars I personally would. The hatchery shipped us 17 chickens all the way to North Carolina. All in which are in great health. Arriving in a very timely manner. We've purchase many chickens and these by far some of the prettiest chickens we've bought.

I ordered 70 Cornish Cross chicks. 2 arrived smashed and dead in boxes. I had 10 pass away in five days of getting them.I've never had such a high death rate the 6 years of raising Cornish Cross. They reimbursed me for the first 7 (I contacted them and after doing so more died). Also they shipped in from MN I was hoping they would have a substantially shorter mail travel since the hatchery is only 1.5 hours from my home. They said they bring them to MN for shorter mail travel and claim that the Cornish cross do come from their hatchery.. seems a little odd I hope they are being honest. I like to support local companies.I'm on the fence if I'd order again from here the customer service is wonderful but the high death rate is concerning and they did not ship extra which I've never not had extra chicks given.

Ordered and received 12 adorable chicks that were alive, active and appeared healthy. One week later and they are still doing great. They certainly are little poop machines though. Will definitely order from here again and would recommend to others.

We ordered our chicks and were given a date they would ship. Bingo! 12 beautiful chicks arrived at our Post Office exactly on the day we were told they would. And in excellent condition, too. We live in NJ, so we were a bit worried, but as it turned out overnight shipping wasn't an issue. 6 weeks later, we have 12 beautiful chickens, fully feathered and living outside (for almost 2 weeks now). Thank you Abendroth Hatchery!

I will never order from here again. They told me I couldn't pick up chicks due to Covid, even after I basically begged to do a contactless pickup. After I received my 12 DEAD chicks in the mail, the next person I spoke with said "Well I'm not surprised" that they arrived dead, and admitted they were shipped from out of state, which was the real reason I couldn't pick them up. They were dishonest about where they were hatched and shipped live animals in single digit temps, knowing full well they had no chance of survival. Disgusting.
