Very busy Sunday at noon and only 1 cashier. Directed to go to self checkout and wait in long line. Then asked for help without satisfactory answer. Advertised digital ads border on deceptive.

Produce isn't great

This is one of my least favorite grocery stores. It’s always dirty, smelly, and never has what I’m looking for in stock. Their produce is usually half rotten or not stocked. The deli takes forever and cuts the meat super thick even when you ask for it sliced thin. I know this last one is a trivial complaint, but their paper bags don’t have handles! All of the other Pick ‘n Save stores that I’ve been to have handles on their bags!

This store has a great flower shop, bakery and deli. The pictured flowers in this review cost $13 and are ONE WEEK OLD in the pictures. Their flowers usually last much longer than the florist at a much lower price. I deducted one star for the high prices on their non-sale grocery items. Also, wouldn't it be nice if they offered the digital coupon deals without having to go online and spend a half hour scrolling through hundreds of products you don't use to clip coupons? You can scan the QR codes in the store but our phones never work inside this store. Overall, however, it's a good store.

My last three trips to this store resulted in checking off less than half of my shopping list, resulting in my having to make another trip to the Franklin store. I'm done.

I am not against self checkouts but this store needs to seriously get it's self checkout system in check. Not only was the belt on the check out flagging every single product I tried to scan but then the gentleman helping with the area was extremely embarrassing. Every time the belt on this check out system flagged an issue, which was every other item I placed, the lead checker would come over and make us remove every item from our bags to prove that we weren't stealing products, super embarrassing. Then to make matters worse, the lead checker would attempt to train us on how to scan and put one item on the belt at a time. If you have to train the public to do a job that technically the store should do, then why have employees? I truly do not understand this store and it's not the only time this has happened. I have used self checkouts at Walmart and all over many times and have never had issues or felt as dumb as I did at this store on several occasions. I called the store this morning to discuss with the manager and I have to be honest, she advised she would talk to the associates and explained that they have been having issues with the self check out belts but I don't feel like that's a great resolution. Shut these belt check outs down until you figure this out. Last night was my last visit to this local store, I will take a hard pass on visiting and being lectured on how to do an employees job as a customer. Unreal.

Matt the cashier- DOB 2/20---
What a nice young man! Super friendly, cheery, good eye contact. He said "Hello miss!" (much appreciated instead of ma'am)
During the short interaction I could tell this guy will go far in life. I had to give a review because I don't see this often. Great job!!! Plus, he realized we have the same bday. COOL!

I hate this store!! I go to the Burlington store when I can. This store is very poorly managed. It’s kids that work there and none of them want to work. I would love to sit down with the regional manager. Best thing for this store is a sendicks to move out on hwy 36. ??

I had such a bad exercise at this store! All the aisle are so small to get through, not to mention the associates blocking all of the aisle with all their pallets of stuff on them! It's cramped and the experience is not worth it, you can get better prices else where. I'd recommend some of the bigger stores.

I try to support local businesses where possible because I feel that is important. Pick N Save on the other hand does nothing to give people a reason to shop there or return. Most people shop there because there is no other choice unless you want to drive to surrounding communities. The store is not maintained clean inside or outside. The store floors are dirty and aisles are blocked with either store associates stocking, pallets of freight or carts full of freight. This makes it difficult to get down aisles. Store associates are no very friendly and do not create a welcoming environment. As you enter the store you walk into the produce department and more ofter then not find some of the produce that is not fresh. Pick N Save openly boasts in their television media ads that their produce is fresher than Fresh....... Well I beg to differ with them. As you walk to the deli counter there are usually three people working behind the counter with usually only one person waiting on customers. Most of the time the customer is ignored or not acknowledged. The store does not do a acceptable job of checking expiration dates or best by dates on products. I ofter find expired dates on products on store shelves. After you are done shopping you proceed to the front of the store only to find a long line because there is only one register open with people waiting to get checked out. You might think that it is due to staffing shortages and I might be inclined to believe that but often store associates are standing up front doing absolutely nothing or chitchatting with each other. I am sure everyone standing in line has the same thought, "why doesn't someone open another register" great question.......but instead the line gets longer and the associates working at the front register area continue to stand around chitchatting. I do not normally like to post about my shopping experiences but in this case I have been a frequent shopper of Pick N Save and have found my experience to be the same with most visits.Pick N Save needs to get their act together.Thank You

The checkout people are amazing. The people who do pick up orders are amazing. They also have really good fruit if you don't have time to stop at the farmers cart on the way into town. I was told if it's raining you can just pull right into the awning area and they'll load up your trunk. That way everyone has some shelter from the rain. It's very considerate.

We've lived in the area for two years now, and this grocery store is the closest to us. It's not the greatest but gets the job done for basics. However, this store does seriously need to address the number of expired products they allow on shelves. Just last night I looked at a jar of almond butter I purchased within the last two months, and the best buy date is August 2022. We are fairly good about checking since this has happened more than once before, but there's no way this store can be unaware of the issue.
