Tom at MARS was recommended by a co- worker. I sent him a video of a noise our refrigerator was making. Even though we already had an appointment for him to come out, he replied that he thought he knew what the problem was & that I could easily fix it myself. I followed his instructions, and it's running fine again. Most places would jump at the chance to charge you an arm & a leg to do something simple, but not MARS!

Tom has been to my house numerous times over the last 10+ years. He is the only repairman who has been reliable and extremely knowledgeable. His prices are fine considering he will come over as soon as possible and fix the problem. I highly recommend him for all your appliance fixes from washers/dryers, microwave, stove/oven and refrigerators. He's done it all for me and is excellent.

Tom seemed friendly and knowledgable regarding our gas oven/range. The lock mechanism was jammed. He squirted silicone into it for lubrication which seemed to make it work. He wasn't at our place for more than 15 minutes and charged over $160.It was way too expensive for the service he provided.

Tom came over for less than 1/2 an hour to tell me the dishwasher was shot and the parts and labor would cost more than the cost of a new unit which was fine but he charged $160.00 for the service call. Won't be using his services again. $320 per hour for a diagnosis? Find someone else...

I haven't called Tom yet, I'm glad to find out he's still in business. He has done this work forever because I remember him from being a kid back in Shorewood! He's awesome! All repair is more than anyone wants to spend, this man is kind, understanding and knows his work!he was kind, when my sister and I were sad because we had to get kid of the old washer because he fixed it so many times it just couldn't be repaired again.

Tom was honest, knowledgeable, polite and no BS. He had the parts with him to do the repairs on my oven and refrigerator. His prices are very reasonable. You get what you pay for. You people that think his prices are too high, you should hire some inexperienced high school kid for $20-25 an hour... then see what kind of service you get. Great service. Great owner. Will call on him again.

Tom is the worst represenative for his own compnay. He came to our house to repair a faulty ice maker. He did some kind of evaluation or test that took 5 mins. Then, he told us to give it up to 24 hours to see if it worked. I am by no means a trained service person, but I knew that quick peek at the freezer would do nothing to repair it. And after the 24 hours we still had a ice maker that would not produce ice and to top of that we had to him pay him $150 for his trip and repair scheme. It costs $40 to have a diagnostic test performed on your car. Homeowners be aware....Stay away from this man.

Service was good but comes at a steep price. Service call is $125.00. A return visit was $105.00 plus parts. In total it cost me $290.50 to fix a latch on my dishwasher. It would have been in my best interest to ask more questions before selecting a contractor regarding prices of the service call and installation of parts. My wood floor was scratched up when the bottom was removed then put back on. I didn't notice this until after the technician left. HIs intention to check the seals was nice but it ended up with gouges and scratches in the wood floor beneath the dishwasher. I know he did not intend to have this happen. Nice man, very knowlegable, just pricey service. And now my wood floor has new scratches as well as a new latch.
