“I usually lease new Volvos and they get serviced at the dealer, but I bought my current one and it was in need of new brakes. The Volvo dealer wanted $1,990. I got it done at Silver Lake for $1300 with a lifetime warranty. Not genuine Volvo parts but Napa which makes great parts. Work was done the same day and very quickly.”
“D&D Automotive Repair did a pre purchase used car inspection for us. We are from out of town and were looking at a used car at a dealership in Waukesha. I think they were completely booked up, but found a way to sneak us in for an inspection. The mechanic outlined all of the issues along with any concerns. He gave us an honest recommendation. “Great experience. I have had repairs/oil changes with at least 8 other shops (not including this one) over the years - this is the best I have had so far. I came in for a routine oil change, and a repair was recommended. Though they usually book a week or so out, they thankfully had an opening the next day, which I took. I wasn't sure if I would leave my car that night or drop it off in the morning. They allowed me to leave that day, without paying for the oil change (trusting I would bring my car back the next day) and performed the repair the next day quickly and at a slightly lower cost than estimated. I would recommend this business.”

“Fine service, polite staff, reasonable cost, an uneventful tire change. The waiting area could be better. They warned me that the WiFi was poor and the chairs, etc. are ok but pretty worn in. There isn’t a table or bar-height area where you can set your laptop to work while you wait, or convenient outlets for charging.”
“I've been here before and had zero complaints other than not being able to make an appointment. So when I needed 2 new tires (due to never rotating my tires, oops my mistake) I figured I'd just go to Discount since they do appointments. Huge mistake. Long story short I was there 3 times and still ended up at Pomps to have my car looked at. Turns out all 4 tires were out of balance (had all 4 TPMS sensors replaced/rebuilt at Discount). I will never stray from this place again, they employ guys who actually know what they are doing and you just can't put a price on that. And the next time I need tires, I will give these guys my business and happily wait my turn.”

“Been going here for years. Recently had some car issues. Dashboard had some fun lights come on. And I called early Saturday and they got me in and repaired. Jeremy (spelling?) is a wonderful manager who communicates well and explains things nicely. I don't feel stupid talking to him about my car. Price for labor may be higher then smaller shops but I'm okay with it. Means my work is done well.”

“I purchased tires, wheels and TPMS sensors from a on line retailer for my new Jeep Gladiator. The tires were already mounted on the rims. After putting the wheels on my Jeep and driving it the TPMS warning light came on.F and F Tire was able to get my Jeep in for TPMS issue right away and had it fixed in a couple of hours. The service I received was great!!! They were able to fix my Jeep quickly and without a appointment!!!”

“I am a big Costco fan, and the first reason is the workers are great. It's what happens when the CEO makes less and the front line workers make what they are worth. Second, the prices are great. Third, there are more human cashiers than self check out. Third, it's a great place for lunch. There aren't many negatives, but since they concentrate on bulk deals you can't get a small portion of anything and the best deals are ephemeral. They had an amazing low price on cases of 5oz name brand cat food cans and I could only fit 5 in my Fiat 500 and even that hurt my back. But still, I wanted to get some more but they were gone within a week. The other negative is more serious, there are crowds of people shopping at any Costco and this one is busier than others. Some of those people are obnoxious. Really intolerable. What are you going to do?”
