Seen the sign as I was driving by saying they had fresh smelt ..sure enough, they had about 10 quart bags worth and he let me buy them all since I was traveling through from the U.P. of Michigan to Bemidji, MN. They cleaned up nice and am anxious to have some for dinner tonight.

Yum! Stopped in for smoked fish and cheese before getting back into MN. So happy I stopped here. The smoked salmon and smoked trout were amazing. So juicy and full of flavor. They had other types of smoked fish too, but I will have to try those next time.And they even gave me a taste of the salmon and offered me an ice pack for my cooler! Great snacks AND great service!Highly recommend adding this to your list of stops.

Right when we arrived the owner welcomed us and and offered assistance. The garage had a large and very reasonably priced selection of fireworks, still in stock about a week before the fourth. When looking for firecrackers the owner was helpful and got them immediately. Would rate 100 stars if I could

Store was supposed to be open. Was not open even tho open sign was up and website indicated they were open. Disappointing.

The owners are great people and very friendly. Garage area is well stocked with fireworks at reasonable prices. It's also the place to go for 50 lb bags of black oil sunflower seed as well. Nice little shop.

Swung through looking to fill up on some authentic Minnesota wild rice, and were not disappointed. Also snagged some curds and pepper sticks because, you know, why not. The guy at the checkout counter (probably the owner!) was super nice and chatted with us about our impending long trip back to our home base in St. Louis. And, if it matters, we were happy to see that he was masked up and required masks in the store since I'm writing this review in the throes of the COVID pandemic. Great little no-frills spot all around!
