This facility has several sections. Most of the reviews on google are for the regular assisted living or the reviewers are staff at the facility. I have no experience in the regular assisted living but a loved one was in the Memory Care. They are rarely checked on and most of the aids in Memory Care have no experience with dementia and seem put out if you ask for something. (Not all are like that as some are very sweet but many of them have bad attitudes) They ask the residents questions instead of using statements. Example: "Would you like to come to dinner?" instead of "come lets go to dinner" Dementia patients tend to say no to most questions. The aids congregate together when they could be checking on and toileting the residents. They "lounge" in the easy chairs in the Memory Unit and play youtube or talk to friends/family on their phones. If they are on break they are not supposed to take breaks inside of the Memory Unit. The staff that are in charge do not have offices in the unit so they do not see much of this happening and won't listen to our concerns. The staff in charge also rarely answer their voicemail, email or texts. Sometimes it can be many days before they answer but mostly do not answer or acknowledge. So disappointed...

Please think twice before putting your loved one here, especially the memory care unit. We witnessed MULTIPLE health code and safety violations that were undocumented: Hot water wasn’t running for the longest time before getting fixed, the memory exit door was “secured” by a chair and not properly fixed for months on end. So much so, we caught several residents wandering in areas that were not the memory unit. A cup of fecal matter by another resident was found on top of my family members cabinet in their room, staff was notified and a year later was still there until we moved them out. Medications were missed and quality of care was lacking. Neglect was witnessed almost every time we visited. Unless leadership changes, please dont be fooled by the marketing and the beauty of the building. Do your research before choosing to put your loved one here.

New Perspectives Senior Living is a beautiful facility and we were very pleased with the care that we had received for our Aunt when she was there. She enjoyed the staff, the meals, and the activities.Thank you New Perspectives!

My mom was a resident at New Perspective until her recent passing. Most of her time living here was positive. Like most businesses New Perspective struggles with staffing, but they do the best they can. The staff is great and I would recommend it for your loved ones to live here. Hats off to staff member Jimmy. He is truly a special person!

Would not work for this place! Under staffed and poor management!

This facility offers an age in place concept. The resident can enter as independent living and services will be brought to them in their apartment instead of having the resident move to another area of the facility. Independent living residents are just that, independent and therefore they will receive no help. One can always add $1600 or more to the monthly rent for first level assisted living services to get a few minutes of help per week but nothing in between. With covid 19, the facility has exceeded CDC guidelines on restrictions for independent living residents and will not allow a family member to do wellness checks on residents not incapacitated enough to require the $1600 per month fee. They dont care how harmful the draconian rules for their independent residents are, they would prefer to try to make extra money at the detriment of the resident's financial status. An independent resident returning from a hospital stay is allowed no assistance to get situated. The resident must be dropped off at the door and left on their own. When does someone coming home from a hospital stay get treated like that? I would suggest careful analysis before considering this facility for your loved one.

I moved here to be by family. Retired and come and go as I want. When packages are delivered they are accepted by the Concierge (8a-8p) & then I am notified. Packages are locked up until I can pick them up "No porch pirating".After hours, coming into a locked facility through a heated garage. If something arises they have caregivers around 24-7. I feel very secure here.

Take upfront money; Don't provide services without jacking up care plan. Had to move 'em out due to miss-timing on medications. 15 minutes to respond to someone choking is life or death. Look elsewhere.
