Meant to Bead is such a wonderful store. I did not know how lucky I was to live near a store with such great supplies, classes, and staff. Now that I am vagabond traveling the country this store is one of the things I miss most from home.

I took a class to learn how to tie knots for brackets. Shannon did an awesome job teaching me ! I learned way more than what I expected!! The customer service was excellent!!! Thanks Shannon

I really loved visiting the shop. This was my second visit at Meant to Bead. On my first visit I needed to replace beads from a bracelet I accidentally dropped down a set of stairs. The owner did a great job navigating me to find the perfect match, there’s no way to tell the difference between the originals and what I added on. On my second trip, which happened to be Christmas Eve, the owner (Shannon) was amazing and super attentive to everything I needed. I was inspired by some of her already done bracelets in the shop, and she explained how she tied the bracelet and helped me start the pattern. Meant to Bead has been part of Sun Prairie for about 15 years. Located in the historical downtown area this is a must along with many of the other small business shops. This is truly a business that cares about what they do. When talking with the owner she explained many of the different types of rocks she has and is super knowledgeable in her field. I recommend this place to everyone, I believe everyone can find something here and I am very pleased with what I left with. Everything is marked with fair prices and range from single beads, to strands, to already done bracelets, and more! (I’m pretty sure that they have gift cards available). I have little to no experience working with beads or crafts in general but the owner made me feel confident in what I was doing and helped guide me through the process of choosing beads (and for myself) choosing how to design and create a bracelet. I will definitely be back soon with more ideas to create. My photo isn’t very revealing, but this is what I did on my second visit. This business is still open even with everything going on with COVID-19. Thank you for your help Meant to Bead!

Full service store. Very helpful staff, lots of JN and CZ seeds, fire polish, two-holes, wide range of stringing materials, Lindstrom tools, copious handmade Lampworker multiples & focals, much creative & elegant ready-to-wear, scores of patterns with demo pieces. Budget lots of time!

I took my 5th grade Girl Scout troop to a class lead by Shannon. The girls loved it! Shannon was very well prepared, taught the girls a lot about beading and jewelry making while making it fun for them. Everything was extremely organized and I highly recommend the classes especially for a group of older elementary kids or middle school. The girls enjoyed being creative and walked away from the class feeling proud of their new necklaces.

I recently took the beginners Bead class with owner, Shannon at Meant to Bead in Sun Prairie. First of all the store is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need, neatly arranged and with helpful staff. The class was very comprehensive and very organized. Shannon not only knows her craft, but knows how to teach it so everyone understands. She offers many tips and tricks of the trade. She teaches you what the tools are for and how to use and care for them properly. At the end of class you know how to make a bracelet and earrings and have each to take home. I enjoyed the class very much and would highly recommend.

I can't say enough about my positive experience tonight at Meant to Bead. I walked in with zero beading experience and a daughter with ideas that needed the expertise of an experienced beader. The shop owner worked with my teenaged daughter and under her guidance, we walked out of the store an hour later with the completed bracelet that my daughter envisioned. This is truly the kind of customer service and specialized product knowledge that can't be replicated through online shopping. Thank you so much Meant to Bead! ?
