First time I bought my chickens from them which was less then a month apart was amazing tasty, two days later went back got two more chickens and hmmm I thought ok perhaps bad batch, and not only that but the price? The price was much higher from the first time , bad chicken and costing more, the chicken mysteriously went up on the scale yet they look same in size that was kind of strange when I paid over five dollars more..I must say three times in the road after that chicken tasted blah...the price went up pay attention when you go in there and get that chicken on the scale or any meat at that matter you can’t really see where their hands are, on the other side of the deli when the meat is on the scale, I wouldn’t be surprised if their finger or two is pushing down on the scale on the scale just to add that extra pound get that extra $ 4 to $ 5 dollars more on the weighted chicken.... vegetables aren’t fresh and low variety. The meat in general is not all that the chopped meat for tacos who knows exactly where the meat comes from, it’s not easy to digest I must said Ive had better..And to remind you, you will be paying debit or credit card convenience fees.. so if you’re going to shop there and don’t want to pay that extra dollar bring cash.I won’t be going back to that store again I DO NOT RECOMMEND.Lack of English speaking employees very hard to communicate, pull up your phone siri translate app.

I bought cecina which is supposed to be sliced thin paper. I received cecina that was basically a steak at this point. Very inconvenient. Hopefully the butchers are trained better and more knowledgeable on the cuts of meat. Also the cooks at the taqueria need more training. I had asked for a side of rice and they put it in a styrofoam cup and it melted in my rice. Food takes a while to come out. Overall I thought this place was gonna be a good addition to Sun Prairie. Definitely not worth anyone's time. This place had so much potential but the employees just need more training. I’d recommended going to el Primo much more friendly and organized.I bought jerky, which is supposed to be cut into paper-thin slices. I received jerky which was basically a steak. Very inconvenient. Employees in the kitchen aren't friendly, and it's not a language barrier. They mock customers, especially those who don't speak Spanish. The employees in the kitchen are not friendly. The girl who typically takes the orders in the afternoon, does not speak and the cooks, who are typically two boys, are not friendly either and if you ask them a question they give you a very short answer.

Great quick, simple and delicious options. Not a lot of seating. I'd recommend the to go option. They have a few booths, but no ambience for dining in. The food and prices make up for the lack of ambiance. Traditional and delicious food!

Reviewing the restaurant only. - Came here after a relative suggested eating here. Ordered 3 tacos and expected them to be smaller. As a self-proclaimed taco expert, I can say these are Authentic. The tortilla was big, and of course, you get two per taco when ordering them on corn. The Suadero Taco was my favorite. The meat was cut in big chunks and really savory. You get salsa and avocado for your tacos. All our food was made as we ordered and didn't have to wait long. Congrats to the place, quality food at a great price.

As an old Texan living in Wisconsin I appreciate good Tex-Mex food. La Rosita fits the bill for me. Simple seasonings, large portions, quick service & priced fairly. I keep coming back.

Great local spot to get groceries. My main reason for stopping by is to get the best tacos in the Madison area. I also visit the Monona location and the food seems the same. My favorite taco is lengua. The tacos come with their avocado crema and a red salsa which you can also purchase in store. Prices are $3-4 a taco as of this review. Cash is preferred but you can pay with a debit card, you'll just have to pay a small card service fee. There is a meat counter in the back with a variety of cuts and seasonings.

Hire nicer cashiers at your sun Prairie location they are very rude and unfriendly… I grab a bag of detergent foca it was $20 she scan it I put it on the bottom of the car and accidentally rip there was a pile of detergent on the floor she didn’t let me changed it … instead told me rudely that when she scanned it it was perfectly fine .. she hang me a bag to take it like that … I didnt say anything just pay my stuff, and go that by the way it was $200 of merchandise . I think I could of at least should of be able to changed it . Store is nice I liked it but with employees like that I won’t be back.

I used to frequent this store up until a month ago. I’ve encountered issues at their meat market where the butchers refuse to cut meat or sell you a certain product unless you buy x amount or if it’s before a certain hour. On one occasion a younger butcher ignored me while waiting to be helped. He sat and skimmed through his phone for awhile before speaking to me. He was clearly bothered that I was there and filled my order unwillingly. He overheard a conversation of another customer who requested ham from a different butcher. He butted in and told her that at that hour (7:30 pm) you had to purchase x amount of ham in order for it to be cut. I found his comment odd because the store doesn’t close until 9pm. The customer annoyingly responded she was only buying what she wanted. The other butcher ignored him and filled the ladies order anyway. On another occasion my husband purchased a whole chicken and asked that it be cut but the butcher refused to cut it indicating that it was too late and they don’t cut meat after a certain hour.I’ve reached out to the store via social media. It’s been a month and they have not given me a response to what is going on in the store. If the meat market has a different schedule they should have it posted. I will not be returning and advise others to take their business to “El Primo” in the same area even if their store is smaller.

Wow, love reading reviews for this restaurant, because people just love to hate. Let's start by stating this is the best taco and burrito joint in SP. I eat here at least once a week and buy fresh salsas and produce weekly. People stating they are rude, come on. If you make any effort at all you will be treated well. Love this place. Be kind and eat great food.
