I brought a $1500 Tag Heuer Carrera in to get a link added to the bracelet. Instead of admitting she wasn't knowledgeable enough to perform the task, she dismantled the bracelet further and gave it back in an unwearable state. She bluntly said she didn't realize that she didn't know what she was doing until she took it apart, as if if was some sort of experiment for her, then dismissed her failure by unapologetically adding "take it back to Tag Heuer" with a backward brush of her hand. She was unbelievably Incompetent and rude. Do not trust this individual with your fine jewelry.

I love these jewelers! They are kind & knowledgeable! They repaired one of my antique rings that was passed down to me. They always clean & inspect my jewelry to make sure they are in great shape, or let me know when I have a loose stone. They even repair black onyx & work with sterling silver. This is my go-to for jewelers. Even tho I live 4 hours away, I will always come here. The quality is worth it!!!

Worked with Wendy on my fiance's engagement ring. She was a huge help throughout the process and was even nice enough to let me customize every major part of the ring. Wendy and her expertise allowed me to choose from a great selection of options while still keeping my budget in mind. I truly appreciate her and Scanlan Jewelers as a whole and will be doing any further jewelry work through her.

Buyer beware, super shady. I brought two rings in for inspection (insurance mandates). The owner advised me that one of them needed work and gave me an estimate of $300 (which I would expect based on the work she stated needed to be done). I approved the work but, as is customary, advised the owner to call me should the estimate increase, which she agreed to. I also left a small pendant that just needed a 5 cent "O" ring which I wanted soldered shut; maybe a $20 job. I was advised she would call me when it was finished but I got no call. I called and was advised by the owner that the pieces were just returned to the shop that day (coincidence).I arrived at Scanlan shortly after the call and there were a number of ladies seated at the owner's desk with her (can't remember her name). She brought out my pieces and told me the total was over $800. I advised her that was not the price we agreed on at which time she asked me to step down to the register (and away from the ladies at her desk) to discuss it. I reminded her that she provided me an estimate and agreed to call me should the estimate change. She ultimately advised me she would charge me $300 for the ring and my grand total somehow ended up being $385.00. I'm no math wiz but $300 X 5% tax is $315 which means she changed me $70.00 for the "O" ring and solder....the whole thing was ridiculous!As far as her "unique" pieces, she told me the first time we talked that she purchases unwanted jewelry from people and resets the stones in her own settings. You never know what you're getting at a shop like this. And it's funny because she bragged to me that she was second generation jeweler. I will not be returning.

This is a smaller jewelry store, but I found quickly there one of the best I've worked with so far, they seemed very knowledgeable and were able to show us some very unique peices that we hadn't seen at other stores, and I've been to a lot of stores lately. They also were more honest then a lot of other stores, and after I read a few books on buying diamonds you start to get a idea of who's more honest and who's hoping you don't know much, but this place has been one of, if not the most honest place I've been to yet! And I can see how they have been in business all these years and hope they will be for many more years! I highly suggest stopping here if you're looking for a wedding ring or any other type of jewelry!

I highly recommend Scanlan Jewelers for all your jewelry needs. Wendy went above and beyond to help us select the perfect ring. We’ve also purchased diamond earrings, necklaces and a bracelet. The quality is far superior to chain store jewelry at a reasonable price. I won’t shop anywhere else!
