I felt like they cared about my puppy and wanted to do what I came for.

I tried Vetco (Petco) vaccination clinics for the first time today with my dog and my cat. I love my vet and take my pets there if we have a problem but vaccinations at my vet are just too expensive. I had previously been a pretty loyal Shotvet customer which is PetSmart's vaccination clinic. After our appointment today at Petco... I will tell you that Vetco is SO MUCH BETTER!! We went to the Sturdevant, WI location. First off, it's much easier to book an appointment with Vetco vs. Shotvet. There are more available days and times which is way more convenient. The girl who checked us in as well as the vet tech and the vet were very professional, incredibly friendly, super informative and knowledgeable. They talked to me about other options for my dog's flea/tick and heartworm meds than the ones that I use and pointed out that these other options would save me some money. They pointed out a benign tumor in my dog's ear that I knew about but could easily have been unaware of. I really appreciated the extra time they took to talk to me about those things. They also asked if I had other veterinary concerns with my pets. I did not, but it's nice they take the time to answer questions or listen to concerns that are non-vaccine related. Shotvet did not show this level of concern for my pet, though they are quick and efficient. Vetco goes above and beyond in my opinion. I was really happy with my experience today and will absolutely continue to do my vaccine appointments with Vetco from now on.

The only negative part of the appointment was getting several reminders. You must have alot of people make appointments and not show up.

Took my dog, Diesel, in for his first grooming. Cassie took care of us or him and was truly phenomenal. She is so well educated regarding her breeds and made me AND Diesel feel incredibly comfortable. Thank you Cassie. Later I went into the store to buy fish and Jo helped me. What an amazing experience. She didn't just scoop up the fish I wanted but informed me that the fish I was wanting was a "school " fish and wld do much better with companions. Never have I experienced that when buying fish there before. She was genuinely concerned that the fish were comfortable and not just thrown in a bag. Wow! Thank you Jo! You're amazing.

The grooming team is wonderful! Jessica love's going to the groomer a several times a year. She always looks wonderful and smells just as fabulous! The team is always careful with her and treat her as I would expect! Thank you Petco!

Unfortunately I took my 4 month old puppy in for her first introductory grooming, and her tail was broken. I still don't know exactly how. But the vet tried to splint it, it got infected, and as of last week she had to have her tail Amputated. Petco did pay the vet bills, but regardless my new puppy lost her tail during a simple groom.

My 1st time going to this groomer. Was not impressed with the cleanliness, and I'm not talking about dog hair, that's a given. Groomer left to use the restroom so receptionist put a looped collar on my dog, who instantly pulled back and she reached under him even though he was retreating and she said he tried to bite her. I was shocked that she even tried to touch him as he was pulling away. Needless to say I left and Never will go back to this place

Unfortunately the clinic did not have the vaccine needed for our puppies. Went through the pre appointment screening and upon arrival were informed they had "run out" and can return following week. Would have preferred to be informed ahead of time. It was a wasted trip.

This is the most unfriendly and unhelpful pet food store! I only use it in a pinch. Yet they never get better. I wanted them to set aside a case of a certain food. They don't do that, but the food supply was there. My sister went to get it. First they said no food. Then they do not sell by the case. Grrrr

Tried out a nail trim at Petco in Racine. Came in and was greeted nicely and got in right away. Was given the bill and told I could go pay while she cut my dog's nails. I chose to wait luckily. My dog is not skittish about nail trimming or the experience so she was hardly talked to at all. She started with her back feet which went fine until the last nail. Then she cried in pain three times while finishing the cutting and the groomer's response was to tighten the noose around her neck and say, "I know this hurts, sorry". I have had her nails trimmed elsewhere and it has never hurt or made her cry. Some of her nails are too short and some are too long. I will not be going back ever again.

I went to this clinic because I could get the vaccination I needed without being charged for an office visit at my regular vet. I had to wait over an hour because there were 15ppl ahead of me. I told them my puppy just needed his first rabies shot and that I needed it before starting his 1st class the next day. After waiting and getting the shot, they informed me I would have to log onto a website to access the actual shot records. I received nothing but a rabies tag and a slip to bring to the register that didn't even specify what type of vet services I received. The website says that records may not be available right away. It's been 3 weeks and I still cannot get any records, and was dropped from his class. Wish they would have told me I wouldn't get proof of vaccination for weeks to come, especially as I told the vet tech why I was there at check in, then waited over an hr. A vet office visit would have been worth avoiding this headache. You're forewarned. Avoid this clinic if you need records right away. Hopefully I eventually get them...

We feel we paid to much for the service we received. He was supposed to get his nails cut and buffed and a brush out. He also had his teeth brushed. His undercoating was never brushed. In all fairness to the groomer, our dog would have no part of letting her cut his nails and my husband tried to hold him to help her out. He didn't want her to touch his nails and struggled to keep away.

The groomer was welcoming to our walk in request to trim my dogs nails. He is not a fan of this so both the ladies worked together to get them cut. I appreciated how they talked to him, pet him and kept him calm while the other person cut the nails. They did a great job, I cannot even hear his nails on the floor now so I don't know when he is coming LOL. He was disappointed that he did not get a treat for being such a good boy...

I was just at the vaccine clinic to check in. The girl was VERY rude. I was second and she told me to go down an isle which I did. I explained I was disabled and could not walk and forgot my cell. ONE puppy was before me. I saw that puppy check out so I went back and she not only told me to keep walking once but did it TWICE!!! 5 other dogs went before me when I was second. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THAT STORE AGAIN and if I could, I would give it a -5 star rating. P.S. Came home and found I was alerted to be next long before she told me to keep walking. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!
