“My husband and I stayed at the White Lace Inn. When we arrived we were greeted right away by the owner, and he was very helpful. The rooms were beautiful. I was very impressed with the size of the hot tub in the room. The breakfast was really nice and the waitresses were super friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here. I have already told a few friends about it. Stay was comfortable in the gardens Were beautiful. Lots of cute little shops are in the area. It was a fun place to stay. It will definitely be a nice memory that we have.”

Very clean rooms. Close to everything in town. Can walk to where ever you need to go. Very Accommodating.
They have a policy though of no child under 5.”

“After reading many reviews, we picked this beautiful inn to stay at during our trip to Door County. It was even better than expected! All the rooms are very spacious suites with nice views of the water. Being right on the Sturgeon Bay, it has a big lawn, a pier, and seats for watching the magnificent sunsets. Though it is in a quiet area off the beaten path, it is within a short driving distance to Sturgeon Bay museums and restaurants (including Culver’s, McDonalds, and local restaurants), and not far from many other tourist attractions in Door County. Our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite had a full kitchen, large living room, fireplace, jacuzzi, and deck, and it was very well-maintained and nicely decorated. Next time we visit Door County, we will stay here again!”

“Been going here with my family for years, it's become a tradition. Never had a bad time. The owner is very good at keeping the older acestetic of the park in tack.

Food & drinks: Soft serve and some food can be purchased at the Goodies shop near the mini golf course.”

“Great location with live music. Prices high during peak season. They do not accept AAA or other discounts.Food & drinks: Breakfast in restaurant was very good, but no grab and go free breakfast or coffee.”

“We've stayed at RunAway Lodge for 4 years and it's a great place to stay. Our dog is welcome and the fee is lower than all other places we've stayed.
We stay in a kitchenette room which is very handy. The owners are so nice and helpful.”

“We didn't stay in the lodge, we just golfed. Nice, basic course. Could use some TLC. Update 7-7-22: Still needs the TLC. Lots of burned-out areas. Greens are ok, tee boxes are in tough shape. In their defense, it has been pretty dry lately. Update 8-26-23: course is in pretty good shape. We had no beverage cart on a Saturday, disappointing.”

“I read other reviews and want to say, we had a microwave in the room, refrigerator worked great, and free coffee 24 hours in lobby, and no mildew smell at all.We had great service, and the king suite with a hot tub was spacious, clean and comfortable. Only reason I gave it 4 stars as the room could be redecorated ( it's very outdated) and the brochure said continental breakfast but there wasn't one. We ate supper at Samuelson's and food, drinks and service were excellent. We will definitely stay here again.”

“Our stay was on a peak weekend and even though hotel was busy we never heard noise in our room. Staff allowed us to share pool with our grandkids. Nice large TV in room and many channels. Loved the 24 hr coffee. 4 stars for location because even though it's not on a lake shore somewhere, it is central to shops and the city. We boarded our dog in the area, but appreciated the room being pet friendly if we needed that option.

Rooms: clean, comfortable and quiet. that about says it all

Nearby activities: unbelievable amount of parks, trails and beaches a short distance from hotel. Make sure to check out Portage Park, a hidden gem on Lake Michigan.

Noteworthy details: we spent hours reading reviews before deciding on BW Maritime Inn. We hope this review helps your decision. One overlooked aspect of the hotel is the nautical accoutrements... specifically the authentic ship's helm in the lounge/lobby.”

“Furniture was all scratched up, bedding was ripped. Everything was clean though. Had a nice, modern bathroom. Housekeeping came in on the third day to exchange towels, but did not replenish coffee or cups, which I found to be incomplete service. Microwave and mini fridge were nice to have. Place was pretty quiet with a back view of the Kwik Trip gas station (grass in between buildings). Pool, washer and dryer were both out of service, no sign of them being repaired. Breakfast was mostly carbs, no orange juice stocked. All in all it is a good place to stay if you need a comfortable bed to sleep in at night for reasonable rates.”
