Terrible customer service, would not let us take carts even though we had an adult with a valid drivers license. Waked through the doors and immediately got argued with by the guy at the desk. He should not be the face of Cherry Hills!! GO TO MAXWELLTON BREYS INSTEAD MUCH BETTER

This is a hidden gem. This was our first time here. Service was great. Golf course was in great shape.

We love it here ! Clean rooms, quiet setting, beautiful golf course, great accommodating people. Close to anywhere in Door County.

The resort is “OK” but my complaint is with the room. While the room is spacious it smelled of bad body odor. I even brought my own Lysol that I sprayed daily but it didn’t help. The towels and washcloths are very cheap and thin. Outdoor furniture was dirty and the front desk was always lacking an attendant. We weren’t playing golf so I can’t comment on the golf course.Safety: Our room was located by the side door and the outside entry was never locked which caused me to have safety concerns.

We didn't stay in the lodge, we just golfed. Nice, basic course. Could use some TLC. Update 7-7-22: Still needs the TLC. Lots of burned-out areas. Greens are ok, tee boxes are in tough shape. In their defense, it has been pretty dry lately. Update 8-26-23: course is in pretty good shape. We had no beverage cart on a Saturday, disappointing.

We go to Cherry hills every year. The bar tender Rene was excellent both nights we were there. Kind, efficient and put up with my groups horsing around. Thank you for a great time Rene.Tammy

Golf course was in GREAT shape! Challenging combination of hills, rough, sand and water. Would recommend for a seasoned pro or a novice! I'll definitely be back this spring again, but I'll bring my son along for his first par 5 experience!Had a nice conversation with the owner who seemed very proud of the course and happy to accommodate us!We did not experience the lodging or food, since it was early in the season. Can't wait for our next visit!

Beautiful golf course though I didn't get to play this time, and a wonderful room, I will definitely be back.

Stay here at least once a year. Highly recommend,it's not super fancy. Staff are excellent and very helpful. Owner tracked me down and returned several items I had lost during visit. 25 bucks for a cart and 18 with stay can't be beat

The staff was friendly and the food at the bar was pretty good considering location and small menu. The one thing I didn’t was the mozzarella sticks so I would recommend choosing the curds because they were great.

PLEASANT SURPRISEWe looked at reviews before staying here, and the consensus was: large, clean rooms and quiet, but dated. After staying here, I agree with the large, clean, and quiet parts, but disagree with the dated part. Walls were freshly painted, and the carpeting was new, as was the furniture and bed linens. The rooms were wonderful. One notable feature of the property is all the little quiet niches scattered about the hotel - places in the hallways, off the lobby, the room balconies, and the pub balcony, where you can sit and have coffee or a drink, or just sit and talk. It creates a very relaxing, welcoming environment.Reviews we looked at also noted the limited breakfast offerings. For a free breakfast, which is a rarity among Door County lodging options, it was more than adequate: juice, milk, coffee, fruit, cereal, muffins, and sausage biscuits. If you want a breakfast that allows you to replace a main meal later in the day, you will be disappointed. But if you eat breakfast as it is intended to be, i.e., a lighter meal to get you going in the morning, what is offered is fine.I struggled between 4 and 5 stars, because the resort has limited amenities. But ultimately, I decided on 5 stars, because the resort delivers at what it intends to be. It does not strive to be high-end. It does strive to provide comfortable lodging, good golf, and basic amenities at a reasonable price. We plan on staying again.

My wife and I could not ask for a better introduction to Door County! Cherry Hills is fantastic. Our room was perfect - spotless, comfortable, and ready for us to relax. Great view of the golf course and a great discount during our stay. Jon was able to help us out with an extra day when he got a cancellation. The course is nicely manicured and the pro staff is very accommodating. The staff was very helpful with recommendations for things+sights to see+do and places to eat.

Golfed here last year. Very unfriendly pro shop person. Course is in marginal shape. Far better golf courses in Door County than this place.

Rooms are amazing. Beautiful view if you are on the course side. Just sit on the balcony and enjoy nature and the occasional golfer. Only complaint would be the breakfast, but it's not really a complaint. Not diabetic friendly.
