We needed somewhere to board our cats while we were in a hotel. They got them in quickly and were so understanding everytime I needed to extend their stay due to our situation. Then we had to board our dog for a couple days and they were quick to accept her as well. I seriously can not express my appreciation and gratitude for these people. Heartland Farm Sanctuary
424 US-51, StoughtonThis place gives me hope. Every animal was so well cared for and you really did feel their souls when you walked around. The turkey walking up to my mother in law, the donkey standing in a corner to be closer to their sheep friend, Esther the goat following tourists around, creampuff coming outside to supervise the tour, the giaaant cow who had recently lost her brother, the goat ramming his food dish to get our attention and affection.. Thank you for letting me get a glimpse into their lives. I have been wanting to visit for a long time and used my ten year vegan anniversary as a reason to finally go. Carol was unbelievably friendly and helpful. We didn’t know if my father in law would come because of his mobility issues, and she took care of getting him a ticket and making sure we didn’t leave him behind even though he was slower than the rest of the pack. I also had to switch our tour and they were so accommodating via email too.Thank you all for giving me hope and for loving these animals ? May they all get to experience healthy and happy lives at the sanctuary for a long time to come!
