Glad we have a nice gas station to go to nearby. I usually prefer the BP here as it also has a good selection in the store of household items. Subway is a nice bonus if you are looking for a meal.

Convenient location, great selection of drinks and snacks. Employees are friendly and the store is clean and well maintained. Liquor sales and Subway are great options as well.

Glad we weren't in a hurry. We were warned that service was a little backed up when we arrived (in a place less than half full); were able to get drinks and menus pretty quickly. 15 minutes later, no one back for orders while we watched and heard staff struggling with register/order system. Finally got orders placed and waited... and waited. About 40 minutes later were told that our order had been accidentally deleted from the system, but that the cook was starting our food and would be about 10 min. Food arrived about 1 hour and 10 minutes after we sat down. Portions were plentiful, fries good, but burgers overdone and dry. Staff was pleasant throughout but seemed overwhelmed and undertrained. It's a cute, small town pub with fun decor, but I'd hate to see service on a busy night.

Tried this on Friday night. No manager to oversee situation. Four of us, simple orders, hamburger, 10" pizza, fish plate, nacho plate. Two young sweet waitresses who obviously didn't know how to cope with taking and tracking orders. Ours returned to the table 3-4 times to get the orders straight. Waited 45 minutes for pizza to go into the oven, nachos took even longer and were inedible. Stale tough chips, one little blob of cheese, over cooked hamburger bits. Fish meal came last after everyone else had their food. Hamburger ordered medium rare, came very well done and dry. It might be okay to wait an hour for food if the place was really crowded on weekend night and the food was really good, but 3 of 4 meals were awful and there were only two other tables of people. Drive on by, folks!

Stopped here today on our way to Crystal Cave with a couple 12 year olds. Felt kinda awkward when we walked in but were quickly seated. The staff was really friendly and we found out they have all the bread and buns made at the bakery in town so they are really fresh and good. The burgers were HUGE and very good flavor to the beef. Cooked perfectly hint of pink but juicy and moist with a nice sear. The waffle fries were SO GOOD. You can tell they have fresh oil to cook the fries. The prices were a bit high but the portions were large. Next time I'll split the burger with my daughter. I'll be back and tell my friends to try it if they pass through town.

I usually like the burgers here, but on June 22 2019 I asked for a rare burger with mayonnaise What I got was so over cooked it was one of the worst burgers I've ever had at a bar.And close to 1/2 cup of mayonnaise. I hope the cook hasn't been trained yet. I'll try one more time. If it still bad I won't be back.

This establishment changed ownership in the fall of 2018. We have tried to support the new owners, but with mixed results. Our visit last Friday night sums up their issues. First of all, the place was absolutely freezing since a band was hauling equipment in and left the back door open the entire time. The bartender appeared to be new and had to ask how to mix a vodka tonic. We asked how much the Friday night buffet cost. The bartender and waitress didn't know and had to ask in the kitchen. We were there at 6:00 pm and the buffet didn't get put out until 6:30 pm. After ordering from the menu it took over 40 minutes to get our food despite only 10-12 people in the place. Since we ate at the bar we overheard a phone order for take out that was placed at 6:30 pm. The customer was told it would take 30 minutes. At 7:00 pm the customer came to pick up the order and they hadn't even started it yet. No sense of urgency, slow customer service, a young staff that is more interested in having a good time with each other than tending to business, just overall clueless. On the positive side, our food was good. It will be a long time before we go back.
