“This was my first time coming to Dr Rana and he was great! After an ER visit elsewhere and calling around to other places, Bayshore Clinic offered great service over the phone, showed empathy towards me and my dog situation. They were able to get me in next day- Dr Rana and staff showed concern, asked questions and was able to to fix the problem my dog was dealing with. They also were very transparent about pricing. Dr Rana even checked on us the next day to follow up on how my dog was doing. I will definitely be using them as my primary vet. Thank you so much Dr Rana!”

“The entire team is incredible! The Shorewood Animal Hospital is exceptional in every way. They were there for us when our regular vet could not get us in after a trauma with our dog, and an overnight visit to the Emergency ER. They are compassionate, knowledgeable and take the time to explain everything each step of the way. I've even received calls to just check in on the welfare of our dog! They are now the only place we would ever take our dog.”

We will continue bringing our pets to the Wauwatosa Vet Clinic, and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a vet. Thank you so much!”

“Kelsa and Michelle are AMAZING. I have been bringing my large breed dogs to Kelsa for as long as I can remember, and she treats them as individuals, managing their idiosyncrasies and showering them with love. Grooming day is my favorite day of the month.”

“Everyone is super friendly and extremely helpful. We had the unfortunate “final” visit and they made the process more bearable. Dr. Gabriella Henthorn was very kind and patient with us. She laid out the facts very clear while still being empathetic and also took the time to provide comfort. I wouldn’t want to go through that again but if I had to, I would go back to her.”

“I've been taking my cat here for 4 years and she is doing really well do I do trust the doctors. Typically staff have been extremely kind and helpful, but there are some things I'd like to mention that needs addressing.

I care about my cat A LOT. She has always gone to her scheduled annuals (never missed and and I don't even think she had been late except this last time). I adopted her during COVID so I would wait in the parking lot and the techs would come get her. It worked out smoothly. The only issue was that I was unable to bring her in for emergencies (anal glands or when she had a cold a couple of times) because the receptionist(s) told me that I had to go elsewhere such as Mayfair due to not having any room for me. I continued to go to Mayfair over the last 4 years until this last instance. I did take her to get some teeth extracted and cleaned at CVC, though, in a timely fashion. These things are not cheap, but I want her to be healthy.

I received a notification in the mail at the end of September that my cat was due (what I thought said October 25) October 18. I called on October 22 or 23rd and you guys were booked out until December. I called the next day because I noticed her anal glands were leaky and she seemed to be in a small amount of pain (eating a little less than normal/sleepy). I figured that I would try to get in with you because I've been coming here for 4 years and it seems odd that I can't get in emergency visits ever when I am a longtime and consistent patient. (The receptionist had mentioned that there were same day appointments when I called to schedule the appt that ended up in December.)

This is where things went downhill. I called the day after I made the annual appointment to grab an emergency appointment (see if there were any openings) for the anal glands. The receptionist came across as though I was an inconvenience and negligent stating that this is not something they do, that I have an overdue exam and need to be current in order to be seen and that they were doing me a courtesy by allowing me this one time to get in the next day. There were two times available in the afternoon. I was at work, working with children and did not want to argue. I said thank you and moved on although very perturbed.

I went in for the appointment which took about 4-5 minutes and asked if patients need to have appointments scheduled before the due date of the exam or if they are able to call before the due date to schedule in order to be seen moving forward. The vet tech interrupted my question to the receptionists (these were not the person I spoke with on the phone because I could tell by the ladies' voices and they were super kind/soft spoken). The vet tech told me that my pet needs to know the vet, that I need to come in for my appointments and I can't just call when there is an emergency. This was off-putting, but I tried to understand that maybe she had a busy day and was speaking quickly not realizing that there were assumptions in her answer that 1. my cat doesn't have an established relationship with the vet and 2. that I call only for emergencies and am always late for my appointments or don't schedule regularly at all. Eventually I explained this to her and refuted every assumption she had about me and she said that I was fine and she hopes no one made me feel like an inconvenience.

I am hoping that the ability to schedule at the appointments will alleviate this, but I might suggest that the receptionists/techs view a patients records before assuming that they put off their appointments, only call for emergencies, etc. and perhaps refrain from stating that they are making an exception and this is unacceptable. Even if I had called the first day I received the mailer, I still would have been overdue because you're booking 2 months out. This experience made me very sad because I actually really have enjoyed coming here and feel like my cat is receiving gre”

“I'm extremely likely to recommend St. Francis Animal Hospital to a friend or colleague. Despite their busy schedule, they made room for us because they understood the urgency of our pet's situation. The staff was incredibly thorough in their exam and identified a major issue with our dog. They were also kind, sensitive, and took the time to ensure we fully understood the treatment plan. Their willingness to teach us how to administer care at home, along with their offer to assist daily if needed, truly showed their dedication. Plus, everyone we interacted with was so friendly and compassionate!”

“I absolutely love West Allis Animal Hospital! The staff are amazing and Dr. Karen is the best. We have more dogs than we care to admit to, and WAAH is there for us every single time. We have multiple dogs on life-long medications, including some older ones that require extra care. I honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else. The mini Doxi in this picture is 17 years old and doing well thanks to them!”

“The short. Price is middle of the road not the worst. They are much more up to date and have offered multiple options that were not told to me by old be for both congestive heart failure and hip dysplasia. I transferred all 3 dogs here. Longer: Dr Cassie has been a miracle worker. I went from having the conversation with myself about euthanasia for my dog with congestive heart failure, to taking her swimming and hiking and her playing with an 8 month old puppy all day. She identified and performed a procedure her old vet didn't identify or do. She noticed a medication duchess wasn't on. When I told her that she threw it up every time and old vet said we had to go without it, dr Cassie looked oddly and said "oh, there is probably something in the name brand she doesn't tolerate, we will send it to a compounding pharmacy and get it to her in a different form." She has tolerated this very well and it was half the price of the name brand. I made sure to take duchess back in to visit so she could see the difference she made. Dr. Cassie didn't just save my dog. She returned a high quality of life to her. Eventually the meds won't work but I have already gotten months I wouldn't have otherwise. She has done similar, with my 9 yr old husky shepherd with hip dysplasia. Lana has been on daily anti inflammatory her whole life. I asked if there were alternatives and she has recommended two. We did the first and are ending anti inflammatories today to see how she is doing. Anyway, can't recommend enough. Go here.”

“This team is AMAZING! They are so friendly both to the animals AND their parents. I had to bring in my big guy yesterday for an issue I had never experienced with any of my dogs before. They were so kind and thorough and helpful. They explained what they were going to do, why, and how it would help. They even told me there were optional treatments on the invoice that we didn't have to do (I did them, they helped my buddy). I asked about preventative measures and they explained how this event could have happened. They really helped to set my dog-mom heart at ease!
After Tucker had his procedure, he greeted me in the room and then happily greeted his Dr as well. I was SHOOK and that alone let me know how well they took care of my boy. I paid less than half of what I was expecting to, AND they have a great refer-a-friend program. I'm so thankful to this amazing team and my roomies for suggesting them! As long as I live in or near Milwaukee, my pets are coming here!”

“I was new to the Milwaukee area and found My Pet's vet on what I call The Night of the Bloody Paw. One of my cats was periodically bleeding from one of her paws, and I couldn't find where.

This is an independent vet business, and I prefer to do business with independents because I feel like my animals get better care. I did call 3 or 4 other independent businesses before My Pet's Vet, but none of them were taking new patients. This place is a little farther away from me but they were independent and had room for new parients, so I emailed over the medical records for this cat and she was seen either that evening or the next. This was 2 years ago, so I've forgotten some of the details.

They found the claw causing this issue, treated it with kindness and care, and we set up appointments for my cats to get their checkups.

I have senior cats with senior cat medical issues and Dr. Beatty and his team have been wonderful at helping my furry friends live out their golden years as happy and healthy as possible.

This business does see all manner of pets beyond dogs and cats: guinea pigs, lizzards, rabbits, etc. I think there is only one exam room, so there are no long waits in a room full of other animals that could be distressing for the next patient. As of this review, they don't take pet insurance.

Other nice things:

They're very responsive to emails. They even do follow-up emails if your pet is sick, on a new medication, or something to see how it's going.

They have their own parking lot.

They have an ADA compliant wheelchair ramp and landing.

This business is in a house which is fitted for a business, so it has a comfortable, relaxing feel to it that both me and my animals enjoy.

My animals see the same vet and techs every time, and they are able to keep up on who they are and what they need.

This business works with other independent businesses if your pet has or would benefit from some medical care not provided here. The same cat from the beginning of this review received an ECG at this location from a traveling specialist.

Closing note: at the start of 2024 I adopted another senior cat. This one has hyperthyroidism and came to me with coccidia. I adopted another senior with needs because I felt I had the vet support I needed with My Pet's Vet. She's doing great now, too. ?”

“To start, I suffer from debilitating OCD, depression and anxiety ? ?....I have the best Veterinarian in the world outside of this clinic, but I think I found the runner up....Dr. Megan was compassionate, kind, honest, sweet, professional and trustworthy. Soooooo many things to describe a veterinarian that I have only found in one person in the last 10 years!!!!!! I walked in not having an appointment ?, but they got me in thinking my 10 year old chihuahua had a mass under her arm. Dr. Megan could have like EVERY OTHER vet clinic in the Milwaukee area recommend a thousand dollars of diagnostics, but she reassured me that the mass was a fatty mass that I knew was true, but needed a good doctor to reassure me as my brain doesn't work right unfortunately. Dr. Megan was that AWESOME person!!!! Dr. Megan again could have taken my strict budget money from me as a VERY CONCERNED pup owner, but she has morals and compassion. I came in crying ? with anxiety and left crying ? with gratitude because of Dr. Megan, Adriana, Sarah, and Grace. I do have a special shout out to Sarah because if she didn't fit me in, I would have never had this experience. You all are a blessing from God.

P.S Veterinarians in the Milwaukee area....you should take a lesson from Dr. Megan as a young amazing Veterinarian to treat concerned honest pet owners with respect and dignity.

PPS Gracd is awesome too

Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️”

“The staff is kind and personable as well as the vets. I made an urgent appointment on the weekend right before they closed. The vet quickly diagnosed my cat with a urinary blockage and confirmed that he needed immediate surgery. We took our cat to a 24 hour emergency vet hospital for surgery. She saved our cats life.”

“A animal surgery at one of Animal Clinic in Wauwatosa that cost me close to $1,000.00. Cost me at West Allis Animal Hospital $300.00. I have four dogs and I immediately pull all four from that clinic. A friend refer me to West Allis Animal Hospital and for the last six years that were all my dogs go. Their staff is friendly from the Animal Tech to the Doctors. Excellent Care!”

“5/5 stars for BanfieldI am very shocked to see several bad reviews, several of them I disagree with. There are so many reasons why I love Banfield.I love the Pet WELLNESS plans, as a young pet owner with many kids and unexpected bills, this is an amazing plan to budget for keeping your pet healthy. A low cost monthly amount comes out of my bank account, and with that I can come into the vet anytime with 0 fees! Unless futher treatment is needed, which is then discounted because I am on the plan. My dog ended up having pink eye, came in for no cost- then they prescribed a medication which was 60.00 at the clinic, I found it for 13.00 on chewy. When I asked if I could get it off of Chewy, they were glad to help get the prescription sent over to chewy. They were all about helping me and my pet out.I saw a prior review about them taking someones dog to the back for a exam. This also happened to me. My dog was acting very weird once exam time started. They asked to take her to the back. I agreed, as I saw her acting protective over me. Biggest part of this is they "asked" me if that was okay. If I said no, they would have just done the exam in front of me.Overall staff is very helpful and friendly every time I have come in to the vet. 10/10 would recommend.”
