I'm not sure why their socks are better than the competition. Is it the thread count or the stitching? I have no clue.
But I do know that wigwam is giant step above the rest.

I always find the best socks here! I'm sad that they discontinued the silk hiker sock, so I'll just have to find a new favorite! My husband gets the socks that go with work boots/steel toe shoes. They're soft and comfy for someone who is on his feet all day.

More of a seconds discount outlet. They do not offer all Wigwam items, just overstock, slight flaw etc. Priced about half retail. If you luck out you will find a deal here.
