I’m kind of disappointed in this humane society. I went to adopt a kitten Stella, when we were in the room she was sneezing a lot. We figured they were going to treat her or maybe allergies, idk I’m not a vet. When we came to pick her up she was super sleepy, probably on medication from being fixed. When she woke up she was sneezing constantly and had a runny nose. Mind you, in the room where we signed paperwork they said she “shows no signs on having an upper respiratory infection”. That was a flat out lie. I took her in to them again on Wednesday and they said she was just getting over one. They did not give me any antibiotics. Now this gave me another vet bill because my cat got very sick from her.Its currently been over a week since we got her and she’s still sick. I probably won’t ever adopt here again as they clearly don’t treat their animals. She should have been given antibiotics long before I even picked her up.

Thank you for the best new additions one could ever have in a home! Bama and Shadow are fitting in great and truly are the best bois.
As you can see they settled in quickly and it's a shame Shadow Boy isn't more affectionate.

We've waited 2 months for the Oshkosh Humane Society to have a female guinea pig, but no such luck... so we drove to Sheboygan and brought one home! :)

This is a state of the art facility that has a fancy outdoor dog park. We were able to use this facility while traveling with our dogs. The dogs loved it and they even had water fountains for the dogs.

I will not support or adopt from this particular location . My family adopted two cats and they were made unaware that one of that cats was a mean cat who bite frequently and attacked people and they did not disclose that the other cat was a stray before they found her . The cat who was a stray worked out fine the other one had to be taken back due to her biting everyone, they would not let my family swap out and give another cat a chance at a home even though they were dishonest about the cats temperament to begin with . This place is just plain lying to people to adopt out animals . The other cat we got worked out just fine but we had to work with her due to trauma from how humane society handles the animals . They grab them all by the neck to carry them (verified by a staff member) and she was afraid of hands touching her head for the longest time . Animals should not be grabbed by the neck

My aunt and I went there during the off hours but the people were super friendly and patient with my aunt. Animals are very well taken care of and she did end up adopting a much-needed companion

I want to give the volunteers at the Humane Society of Sheboygan a shout out for their friendly and helpfulness. I
would give them 5 stars. However the same can not be said for the lady who answers the phone after hours. We had taken two cats home. After at least a week passes by we had seen one cat was doing great , while the other one had issues. She had bitten several times. Although we had made a couple calls to them on this issue to them , Pretty much got the guilt trip & we asked about possibly exchanging that cat for another one. We were surprised with the attitude on the other end of the phone by the lady we spoke with. She stated that if we were not willing to invest the time ,That they wouldn't be interested to let you have another one that would fit better. Surprised in that response because they have a facility full of animals in need of a good home. We ended up returning the poor cat that obviously had gone through something in it's life that made her have these problems. We did end up getting a second awesome cat outside the facility from a private party. So all they did was limit an animal to a good home. Again the staff and young people working there I would give a 5 star to. However the after hour's lady on the phone gets a 1 star wish I could rate it even lower. she is not helping the animals find a home with her judgmental attitude. I also mentioned to her about how they carry the poor animals by the scuff of the neck? She said they carry them all that way nice! That would explain why our wonderful cat is just now getting over the fear of having her head touched. Please give Miss call friendly another position in the facility and give more animals a much needed home.

I had a friend turn over my 2 babies ( cats ) to the shelter instead of taking care of them. I was in a rehab center for a broken leg and asked this friend to take care of them. She took care of them for 4 days and then took them to the shelter. Boarding them would be 70.00 a day, I couldn't afford that. I called the shelter every day to see how my babies were doing. I was lead to believe that because they had 180 cat that they would put mine to the side. I told them I would give them a donation for the help. They called me 8 days in
And told me my babies had been adopted out. I could not get them back. I no longer have a family!!!! This person that uses to be a friend told me 2 days after she took them in. The manager would not help me in any way
She blamed me for not putting them in boarding
She must have more money than me ??
