They charge for extra fees all the time.AFTER 3 SEPERATE TIMES!!! Now the first time I didn't realize as my card took care of it, the second time I was accused of smoking and that their was ashes in the truck. Uhm, no.Now the third time again, a cleaning fee because I make damn sure mileage is on so this is the next best way to get money.I called customer service and they look at the picture they submitted. The lady for customer service says that the truck looks as Clean as it could get, from rolling off the lot new.(Hmm I wonder why- perhaps I cleaned it better than I recieved it because this time I had to know If they deliberately charge cards!!!)From nothing being resolved on my part by seeing it too late, to the 2nd time where they told me and argued that I'm a smoker! and now this time charged extra feesI made damn sure cause I was ready and prepared.I will never go to this location EVER!I will rent a truck from Menards if I'm in a pinch and need to move something.I'll also add this as long as I'm bitching. And for why it got to this point.I was just talking this frustration out at church dinner and at the table someone could also say they got charged and they had to wait a long time to get this resolved. They stated- it's as if they do it on purpose because that's one thing somebody doesn't have- "time".Time to monkey around on the phone and back and forth or in person your dealing with someone that's rude or unsure as to make an impression that you won't want to deal with them again.In the end people just bite the fee cause it ain't worth it having to deal with the process and what have you.After getting on this subject the paster was at our table, and he didn't want to say which location as that didn't matter what got him was he was charged extra mileage and a cleaning fee.The pastor also said " he dont know for fact, however what he did know was that The person that grabbed the mileage, he said he chuckled because he had to go back in and correct them as they added 20 miles to the Start mileage. Fixed it and then the correction disappeared back the what the guy put. And the cleaning fee- the pastor didn't make a mess or anything he just had helping moving the globe decorations and holiday church stuff for the the downstairs kids room. In clean tubs.This place is absurd.Also I'm making sure that the promissory is not taking care of with my credit on the private side.I suggest you go elsewhere, they don't care about you nor themselves as their new building looks terrible for they took the cheapest bid and it turned out horrendous. Do they care enough to get it fixed? Nope

U-Haul Wausau is supposed to open at 9am on Sunday (Dec10) but I’m still sitting here at 9:30 and no one has arrived. I have help scheduled for my move and am having to wave them off. Terrible experience!!

Fast friendly service. Lots of uhual vehicles to choose from. Open 7 days a week very nice to use on a Sunday.

I rented a Uhaul 10’ truck on Saturday at 12 noon. It was very busy and a very long wait. I recommend trying the online ordering to help speed up the process of you don’t have time to wait. Seems like they need more staff for check out and check in of rentals as the staff seems stressed out by taking care of all tasks for customers. I had a similar experience with the drop off of the rental. Also I noticed the blankets were not folded when I received the truck. There seems to be lots of extra charges and questions for these charges so be prepared to answer all of these and the extra time.

I'd give a negative star rating if possible. Call, no answer, always a 5 min wait time. Yet, nobody in parking lot or lobby. Sat in parking lot watching employees not answering phone. Then get someone from another country that can't even answer the questions I had or transfer me to the actual store whose parking lot I'm in. Complete joke and useless.

Worst service, used less miles than I Paid for and was over charged $50. Everything looked perfect upon return. Rip offs. They take your card and charge what they want.

This company needs to hire competent staff. Reserved a trailer for a 24 hour rental. Went to pick it up they had it as a 12 hour rental and wouldn’t allow us to take it since they had another renter coming in the morning. Due to timing we were forced to rent a truck with no accommodation by Uhaul. Then they changed us $250 for a 24 hour. One charge we saw and signed off on and a later charge that they claim is a miscalculation charge. DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION! Incompetent and poor customer service!

Today I went to return a truck and Sergio provided EXCELLENT and FAST service! Thank you for making the process so easy!But regarding U-Haul as an overall business, I’d say it’s just best to expect the worst, that way when something good actually does happen - like with my experience above - you will be happily surprised. The entire process could be so much smoother whether you’re doing things online or in-person. There’s no predicting which will be more efficient because it varies so much in my experience over the past 3 years.
