We've been bringing our two pups here for about 6 months now for shots, checkups and spay/neuter. We recently had an issue with one of our pups as she got stung by a bee and had a puffy face/eyes. I called and they said to bring her in right away and were willing to look at her. After some observation and treatment, I was able to take her home and all is OK. Overall - everyone here is very nice and enthusiastic about seeing our dogs and taking care of them. We are very confident in their knowledge and ability to treat our dogs now and into the future. Thanks!

The staff and vet are really friendly. The facility is large and very clean. I liked that they had a cat room with pheromone plug in to keep them calm. My cat was happy to meet the staff and loved all the attention.
I wanted an estimate for my 3 yr old cat to get a preventative dental cleaning since I've noticed some redness on her gum line. They told me they needed to do an exam before they could give me a ballpark quote.
Paid $50 deposit to make appt, they were very flexible with scheduling. This was applied towards the office visit.
But $750 - $1,250 for a cat dental cleaning... I almost fell over. Lol. My cat barely has any plaque. That is double what I was anticipating to spend for a preventative procedure.
Darn, back to my Illnois vet. It's only $250 there.

I’ve had many experiences with this veterinary office and have had to visit all doctors on different emergent occasions. We have a pitbull who prefers people over other animals and despite the breed, the staff here is always welcoming and enjoys her when we bring her in. Today, I was the person who said “I googled so I’m worried”. The staff did everything necessary to make us comfortable and understand all the possibilities. If my senses were right, and we need future follow up visits to help our little girl, I’m happy to have the Westosha staff to help us through it. Also, Lola handles these exams better than we ever expected with this staff!

I brought my dog in who HATES getting his shots. The vet tech was great with him and so was the doctor. She was very nice and caring and even gave my dog some treats! I recommend Westosha for all your animal needs.

Took my dog in for consultation in Feb. She had some small growths around her body/ stomach. We removed them and apparently they were negative for cancer. Never suggested an Xray/ CT scan, or ultra sound. about 3 months later all of a sudden my dog is lethargic, no energy, bloated somethings defiantly wrong. Go back ( June) and they X-ray her and say she has bleeding internally and need to go to an ER immediately. The ER did a scan and ultra sound and found her liver and spleen with growths that had ruptured and there was nothing they could do. We had to put her down 24hrs later with a home service. It would have been great to know this ahead of time instead of getting completely blind sided. When we asked Salem why they didn't know this back in Feb they basically blamed me because there was no way of knowing without X-rays or scans. Pretty sure the Dr that consulted with us for her first procedure should have recommended that.
This all happened in a span of about 2 days. 3 months after her procedure in Feb.
Look elsewhere. I know I won't be returning when I become a dog dad again.

If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD!!!! Everytime I have walked in even if it’s just to use the scale the ladies at the front desk just look unhappy to be there. Never friendly like a hello just a what do you need. Also been taking my dog here this last year and to say the least I have finally hit my point with them with taking my dog else where. They had prescribed me meds that didn’t work and after taking my dog to another vet for a second opinion they had told me the drugs don’t work that well for big dogs. Also since my dog was a puppy we have received numerous comments from one of the vet techs there named Jessica that always seems to have an attitude and made comments to someone in the hallway that we were abusing our dog for being to skinny and his ears being posted. I don’t know what is going on at this vet clinic but there really needs to be a clean of house there.
