I have had nothing but a horrible experience from the beginning. Never EVER got a response from multiple account messages sent from my online portal. Asked to be set up on monthly payment plan from DAY ONE. Never happened. Called about it, then I was ONE day late and was deemed ineligible for this. After that was paid off I called again for a monthly payment system only to be told since I own the tank I could never be in a monthly set payment plan. Everything I have been told is contradictory. Everyone gives me different information. I am so unhappy with the experience from day one. Called to cancel so I can choose another provider but cannot due to being on a contract. I literally hate everything about this company. Poor. Poor. Poor. There’s my review. Hope someone actually reads it.

For 5 years I have requested an exchange of Tank. Due to the fact my Tank says Petrolane, which is now Amerigas. Petrolane has not been around for last 30+ years. To do so they want to charge a service fee, which I refuse to pay.

AmeriGas use to be great when you could talk to the local customer service rep, but since they started sending my calls overseas the service has really gone downhill. Every time I call now it’s a nightmare. Last time I ordered propane it took over an hour on the phone and the only reason I was able to complete my order was because they finally transferred my call to Amy in North Carolina— she was terrific—but I know next time i need to place an order it will be the same headache.

4/5/2022. AmeriGas charged my mom $4.84 per gallon for 289 gallons. I checked and going price for Wisconsin is just over $2.00 per gallon. Two local company's were also just over $2.00. I called to start an account with AmeriGas for myself, and they said $1.84 per gallon for new customer. I then asked why they charged my mother $4.84. I got quite the run around and had asked them repeatedly to stop lying to me. We are switching company's as the sales person said they will just come and get the tank and credit anything over the 289 gallons. I left my number for someone to correct this but as expected, no call. I had contacted the local news station and emailed a copy of the bill. Hopefully they will warn other customers of this company price gouging elderly customers.

Lacks costumer service hard to get ahold of, when you do get ahold of them you don't actually talk to a real person. Then they also won't give a date or time frame for service or filling . Switched to another company liking it so far. WOULDN'T RECOMMEND AMERIAGAS TO ANYONE

Very displeased. I was a long time residential customer, but got frustrated w their fee structure and higher price than other local providers. Almost double. Switched service this fall and when I called to discontinue, rep said I should of called and they could of given price break. Why should I have to do this? Then she said their would be a fee to cancel, but would waive it. Guess what, they sent a bill. I didn't pay cause I was told it was waived. Now they sent it to the creditors to collect from me. Big corporate structure at its finest. Buy local folks!!3/27 update: I paid the darn bill. Now they sent another one to the creditors. Recieved not a response from this post. I wonder if anyone even looks at them anyway. If I could rate them a negative star I would. I would never. Never, never recommend this company to anyone.....

I needed gas on a emergency basis. My tank is at 0% and I paid the $200 fee to expedite such service on 12/19/2020 and it’s two days before Christmas and I am still without heat and hot water. Here the kicker I’m on disability for income. They say office is closed because of COVID-19 In my book they flunk customer service

Took several weeks to get filled. Got quoted one price in the 300 ranges and was charged over 500. Extremely long wait times only to speak to someone who has no idea what theyre doing. Worst company ever

I am glad to hear at least one home propane customer had a satisfactory experience. I wonder how she was able to connect, because the local plant office not only is totally closed, but apparently residential propane is the only service offered. The local phone is not answered. I did manage to leave a message on the 800 number, and did get a response. However, the person who could tell me how to have two tanks recertified was to have contacted me and never did. I have learned that I am not the only person receiving no response to phone calls. Anyone care for a "fourth tanks free fill" card ready to redeem? I have found a responsive service with a store open 8 hours a day, five days a week.

Superb Customer Service. From office to the Field Techs, all of AmeriGas staff are very knowledgeable. I never had propane before and I had concerns and numerous questions, all were all answered completely. Also, when they say they will be arriving they are always punctual. From past experience I have learned that many companies only "say" they put the customer first and then falling disappointingly short. With AmeriGas, putting their customers first paramount and it shows - they practice it daily with every phone call, every question, and every delivery/set up. Great Company, Great Staff, and Great Service!
