February 2024 by Kristin Hintz
My family and I came here on the 20th of January and had our code and room emailed to us. When we got here, the code didn’t work for the door to get inside the building. Then when we got to our room, the code still didn’t work. We went to the front desk and we were told we were no longer in that room and we were moved to a different one. When we got to the new room, the heat didn’t work and the room was ice cold. We were told to flip a couple switches on the thermostat from the front desk and wait. After waiting an hour, it still didn’t work, so we had to switch rooms again….Now my family and I came here on February 3rd, and had just about the same experience. Our code and room were emailed to us, the code worked for the door to get inside the building, but didn’t work for the room. After going to the front desk, we were given a new code. When we opened the door to the room, the room was a mess. So again, we went up to the front desk and mentioned that the room hadn’t been cleaned. The lady at the front desk said to us, “oh yeah. That’s not your room.” First off, why on earth would you give us a new code for a room that’s not ours when now you’re acting like you knew it wasn’t our room in the first place? That’s definitely not safe at all. So now I’m scared that anyone can just walk into our room. When I tried explaining to her that this is the second time this had happened after our experience a couple weekends ago when we stayed here, trying to explain my concern, she cut me in off in conversation, just repeating to me that it’s just the wrong room. Then of course when we got to our new room, the tv didn’t work, but another nice staff member was nice enough to come assist us with that situation. This was the most complicated and the worst hotel experience I’ve had by far. I never write reviews, but this was frustrating enough that I had to. Also, we had never ever received an email from Bantr stating our rooms were changed or anything like we should have if we were in the wrong rooms.Rooms: Things don’t operate in the rooms.Safety: Staff give out codes to rooms that aren’t yours. So anyone could walk into your room at any time.Noteworthy details: There were many issues with the rooms being changed and how many times we’ve had to change rooms.

Stayed for 2 nights just to get away & have some me time. Desk staff was Wonderful! My only downside was I had an altercation with a rude & vulgar neighbor who wouldn't respect quiet times after 11. :-(

Our family stayed for 3 nights over New Years in conjunction with skiing at Granite Peak which is very easy to get to from this location. When I called to book the rooms, I was informed of the construction in the hotel. It’s going to be great when it’s done and it didn’t bother us at all. They were definitely running short on staff but it was also a holiday.Upon check in, we did have issues with our rooms. We booked a king loft and there was not a king size bed in the room. Also, our two rooms were as far apart from each other as you could get. We were able to work something else out at the front desk. It involved a room downgrade which was fine and we also got money back due to the downgrade which was outstanding. The pool and hot tub were both open but slim chance you got a towel if you went late. You do need to give the front desk an id to get a key fob every time you want to go to the pool which is inconvenient. There was once a water park at this hotel that will not be reopened. There were small kitchens in both of our rooms but they were not well stocked at all so if you plan on using the kitchen, bring what you need. The fridges were clean and cold. Bring any dishwasher pods or soap you want to use.The bathrooms show some wear and tear but were clean.A cold breakfast was included. There were bagels, cereal, pastries and yogurt. It left a little to be desired but was quick and easy before hitting the ski hill. There is a great breakfast place very close.Overall, we would stay again.

Needs work but lots of upside if they figure it out I live right down the road and they serve local and out of town guests for a great stay in a spacious room and setting with a pool hot tub and gym and they're trying out bands and comedy shows for the guests to enjoy give it a try I'm sure you'll like

The only good thing I can say was Rising Phoenix was playing. Their bar was a disaster, under staffed and not at all prepared. We ordered rail vodka and water and Michelob Ultra and the first time the cost was $16 the second time it was $14.75. The third time they ran out of rail vodka, used some other kind and said $10.75 for that drink. We said know way keep it. My friends first order came to $17. So the next time she ordered rail rum not Bacardi and it still came to $17. I tended bar for years and this was a train wreck. I heard another guy say he owned a bar, that this was painful to watch. Numerous people were very put off by this mess tonight. I doubt it if our group of people will ever come back. Bantr was less than impressive. All window dressing and fluff, no substance.

This is the second time I’ve taken my girlfriend up here from the city to kick off the snowboarding season over at granite peak which is about a 10 minute drive from the hotel. The hotel is massive and the rooms are huge. There is construction going on as it looks like they are redoing the whole lobby but you can’t hear any noise from the rooms. The rooms are absolutely massive and very well put together and nice. Huge pool and hot tub with a fitness center that had more equipment and better than most commercial gyms. The prices were great and was a fire sale for what we got. 10/10 would recommend

We went for a ladies weekend during "widows weekend" and we REALLY enjoyed our stay, the front desk people were friendly and helpful. The pool was nice and warm (most pools in hotels are too cold for me) the hot tub was nice to. The room was spacious and clean. I hope they do something cool with the abandoned water park area (mini golf or a disk golf course would be cool). Also some entertainment for widows weekend would have been awesome, like a women's comedy show or something....I guarantee this would've drawn more groups of women like us and we would've spent lots of $$$ at the bar.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel last night we were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary I went to the front desk and spoke with Jerome and I joked about needing a blanket for my husband because he was sleeping on the couch on our Wedding Anniversary. Jerome said oh No I am not letting your husband sleep on the couch on your Wedding Anniversary I am moving you into a suite. What a beautiful suite! I am so impressed with the suite! Jerome was so wonderful and such a nice person. Very friendly and a wonderful people person. Thank again for everything Jerome sincerely Jeff and Bonnie Sundet.

Waste of time and money. This place doesn't make sense, I don't know if it's a hotel or a retirement community. They got rid of the water park WHICH IS THE MAIN REASON PEOPLE COME HERE for just a mediocre hot tub and a pool that looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time, not to mention closing the arcade to make another gym is foolish. They're remodeling but it doesn't make sense to have a modern look in a rustic lodge. There advertising is all over the place. Do you want this place to be for kids and families who want an amazing time or a place for older people looking for a retirement community. Their website says they can accommodate up to 200 people for a wedding but the reception is for only 80. I have been to many hotels around the country and this hotel is one of the worst I've been too. Denying house keeping if you're staying three days or less is a joke. Covid is not an excuse anymore to deny your guests amenities and clean rooms. If you're that hard up that you haft to close the waterpark and turn these into apartments you should just close and reopen as an apartment complex. The owners and manager should reverse coarse and bring it back to it's former glory with an updated restaurant. You have a real gem here but you don't even see it. I will definitely not be coming back to this place in the future until it gets better.

Great hotel!! Kathy was great at checking us in and upgrading our room. she was very welcoming and we received free bottle of champagne. It was my husband's birthday and the room was great with a hot tub. They are remodeling the hotel and there are not a lot of people in the hotel, but I see real good potential in the place after the remodeling is finished. We will definitely be back after it's finished. Thanks for a great weekend!!!

We had a great check-in and although the place is very much under construction, the rooms are huge and for the most part pretty clean. The place is massive with a nice courtyard, but the doors didn't shut properly to go out and in that area, so that couldbe a security issue (image). We LOVED the adults-only 10 PM - 12 AM pool and hot tub time. To be honest, this is why we booked it. The mattress (image) unfortunately had a huge stain on it, but we didn't notice until the next day. That should be cleaned or replaced for sure. Continental breakfast is just toast, cereal, and yogurt, and should be noted there were no eggs, waffles, hot food, etc. Overall, we would stay again especially for the price if we are ever in Rothschild again.

The bad: breakfast options were hard boiled eggs, cold cereal, muffins, bagels, toast. Coffee and milk to drink. Room: phone didn't work, fridge's freezer compartment overflowing with ice, 2 burnt out lightbulbs (one overhead and one bedside lamp), 2 shampoos with no conditioner. Parking not great.Good: clean overall, quiet

Well it was a nice looking room. The lobby is a little rough looking as this hotel is still in transition from a waterpark hotel to just a hotel. Their signage to and from rooms needs to be updated. During adult swim as I was the only one in the pool area a lady came in who was either 7 sheets to the wind or on something stumbled into the hot tub and passed out. I had to call front desk to come help her. Also the breakfast was very lacking. The room was beautiful. And the staff is very friendly. All in all I would rank this a 4 out of 5

My Husband and I and our to children stayed here for 6 nights coming up to $1,637 all together the front desk lady did not inform use that there wasn’t a working hot tub also when we went to get breakfast for our younger children there was hard muffins spoiled milk just the worst breakfast we ever had at a hotel then the front desk lady Kathy didn’t inform that they don’t do stay over service so my husband and I had called the 4th day and had to ask for our garbages to be changed for new towels for our beds to be made and fresh sheets and for toilet paper when they no we are going to be staying 6 nights there we stay in room 29 the lady next to us is a house keeper living there and when we walked by it to get to our car outside we had looked over into her room when I say it was the most filthiest nasty disgusting room I’ve ever seen in my life I mean the worst your a housekeeper living at a hotel you would think to keep your owe room clean just makes you wonder if they even really clean the room or if they just spot clean we paid $1,637 for the worst hotel experience everything was horrible Kathy front desk lady was super unprofessional, disrespectful, rude argumentative not apologetic at all and refused to give a refund when we had paid upfront and if we had known any of this before we booked the room, we would’ve never stayed here

Really disappointed in the lack of customer service. We left early at 6 am and wanted to check out, yet absolutely no one was at the “front desk” (if you could even call it that). Photos are very misleading on this place, and I would steer clear until they get it together.
