Not a fan of ignorant people, much less corporations that don't train their staff. And BTW, ignorant doesn't mean stupid or dumb. Look it up.
Leaving North Dakota (a beautiful state, in case you haven't been) heading east, I knew I couldn't get diesel for my still under warranty Sprinter in miserable Minnesota so, I tanked up on Fargo crude and mapped out the shortest distance to Wisconsin accross Minnesota which happened to be to Hudson, WI. I didn't even stop to P in Minnesota. Minnesota for this diesel camper owner is an avoid at best and drive through at worst, state.
Anyway, back to KT #453: My fuel discount app informed me this KT had diesel at a good price and better yet, it wasn't in Minnesota so I mapped the route. When I get there the handles on the diesel pumps are yellow. Isn't it a cosmic law that diesel pumps are green? Problem sign #1.
Second problem sign is that there are two nozzles on the same pump because there are two types of diesel. Huh? #2, which it isn't, the sticker on the pump says it's bio-hazard diesel. The second hose was for something called "premium" diesel. There is no sticker that indicates "premium" contains vegan material, or not. BTW, beef cattle are all vegans. Think about that.
Not wanting to risk my warranty by putting 20% bio-waste in my Mercedes, I violated my oath as a man and ventured into the store to ask; mind you this Kwik Trip fancies itself as a bit of a mini-truck stop. So, I said, do you sell non-bio diesel? The first associate of an un-named gender responded that, effectively, had not a clue (corporate training failure #1) and referred me to a second associate and I think, the only other one on shift at that time. So I asked again and further confused the associate by inquiring what was the difference between the farmer's new revenue stream diesel and the "premium" blend. Oh boy.
Well, the associate reasoned, the premium, being premium (and this being farm country), must by definition have plant material in it (corporate training failure #2).
I have 1200 miles to go, I'm tired, I just escaped from Minnesota, I'm hangry and and my dogs would like their dinner. I thanked next month's Employee of the Month and quit while I was ahead.
KWIK TRIP: teach your employees basics about what you're selling. It will increase same store sales inside and out; I guarantee it. #453 is a beautiful store with friendly employees, just not that well trained.

The girl working behind the counter is very nice and friendly but the food Stewart has lot to learn about customer service stop in at when he is working there is never food made and he on his phone or taking for ever to put donuts out when asked about food he stated I'm doing donuts now

Usually a good store to stop at, but I have tried to stop early in the morning before work and the doors have been locked. This has happened 4 times now. No one inside, all the lights on. Pretty frustrating.

I stopped in here a couple of times while visiting family in River Falls. Super convenient. Everything I needed to grab was here (as well as some things I didn't know I needed. :) and some 6-packs of New Glarius to take back home to Iowa. Clean parking lot and pump area. Clean inside near the hot foods areas, drink stations, etc. Merchandise was well stocked and all staff I encountered were very friendly - later at night and mid-day. Also used the car wash. Will definitely return to this location again!

Ordered a ham and swiss on special waited 10 minutes, it wasn't hot and cheese wasn't melted, got cheese spuds that weren't cooked all the way. Waste of time and money and staff was rude working hot food. Never get food here. Tastes like food poisoning

My favorite gas station in the entire world because it is the cleanest gas station in the entire world. It feels like a luxury gas station experience. Open clean and nice. Was my favorite gas station while living here in River Falls the past 2 years and the past 4 while I was still commuting into River falls the first 2 years. I am from Michigan and there is no Michigan gas station equivalent.
