In 1940, W.J. Ayers started a family legacy. Beginning as a small hardware store in Ridgeway, Wisconsin, W.J.'s business grew to be so much more. He was soon joined by his brothers, Leroy and Gordon. In the early days, the Ayers store carried everything from hardware supplies and carpeting to appliances. As time passed, the store began to focus on furniture. Gone are the days of nuts and bolts.
