Ok, so after my one night stay I decided to read previous reviews. Had I done that ahead of time I would not have stayed there, so my comments are first, based on not reading the reviews and then after I had read the reviews.
Outside of this facility actually looks good.
Had to make a call on. Y cell phone to get someone to the front desk to check in.
The lady who took care of us was friendly, if not a bit too chatty.
When I entered the room, at first glance it was a bit better than I expected. Even the bathroom was dressed up a bit. But the grey and white color scheme did not go with the 1940’s green, very shallow bathtub.
The bathroom sink was very small and there was no place to put my personnel items bag.
The water coming out of the bathroom sink was very fast as the screen was clogged.
The room did not have a table of any kind so no place to set up my lap top.
Curtains were too small and so did not completely block the window giving keeping toms an opportunity to look in.
Next door there is a night club and the music was blasted until 2am, then I was able to go to sleep.
Worst of all the tv size is too small so the font was impossible to read, but that did not matter as the tv did not work, so I played sudoku all night on my phone.
Then an earwig came scurring across the night table.
We booked the rooms ( my son was with me) for 2 nights but we bailed after the first night.
My son’s room was filled with earwigs and spiders. And his tv did not work also.
After having read the reviews, I can now see there are some similarities.
STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was hesitant to stay because I saw some bad reviews but then saw there was a new owner that took over so I gave it a shot since it was located in a convenient area for me. I must say with the new owner this place is very well upgraded. New beds and sheets, bathrooms are upgraded as well. Only thing is they don’t have Uber eats in the area so make sure you eat beforehand or don’t mind driving into town there was a delicious pizza place in town.

The new owner is definitely cutting corners. I would have loved if it would have been like other reviewers posted. Water didn't drain in our tub, so you stood in about 6 inches of water while showering, cheap Walmart bedding and curtians that were not big enough for the windows. No one on site for any towels, repairs or etc. The owner is too busy wanting to party with the guest. He only wants to have monthly people there so he doesn't have to work the place. Stay away!

Super Clean and comfy room with BIG Screen TV, Fridge, coffeemaker and microwave. Its the old style drive up motel that has been updated. The only thing revealing its age was the pink bathtub which I found adorable anyway. The tub drained a little slow when showering and there was no regular coffee for the coffeemaker were my only complaints. But for for price, cleanliness and comfort this motel was perfect and only 38 mins from downtown Milwaukee where we were seeing a show at the Marcus Theater. NOW FOR THE BEST PART: THE MEXICAN RESTAURANT NEXT DOOR! The food and service were sooo good!!! Cheerful clean decor! Friday night had the perch fry. Perfect breading and generous portion! Saturday morning breakfast had the mexican skillet. Generous wit perfect Chiorzo and avocado! Oh and 10% if you show your room key. Highly reccomend this little hidden gem

They were extremely accommodating when our trip had to be rescheduled due to a Covid infection. We really appreciated their customer service. We'll be back once everyone is healthy!

I was hesitant to book a motel but there was nothing else available in the area and Hotels.com had it above an 8 rating. I’m not sure what everyone was reviewing because I had a terrible experience. Room smelled terrible and they tried to cover it up with chemical air fresheners that I had to remove from the room. I opened the microwave and there was food spilled all in it and the smell almost made me vomit. The room wasn’t clean…you could see all kinds of gross stuff under the end tables and dressers. The pillows were so old I didn’t want to use them. I paid $132 for one night, so it’s not like this was some $50 room. I had to go to the nearby gas station and buy 409 and paper towels so I could clean enough for me to feel comfortable staying there. I ended up accidentally leaving my toiletry bag. I called the next day and Oskar said to email him a shipping label and he would send it out. I sent him the label, he responded “Got it. I will ship this out today.” He didn’t ship it. It’s been over a week and I’ve been texting him asking about it and he reads the texts but doesn’t respond. So now on top of the $132 is the cost of all my items that the hotel is refusing to put in a box and put the label I provided on. Terrible customer service and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

Would have rated it better, but there was one major issue, which I will address a little later.The pros:It was a convenient location for my husband's and I's vacation get away to Lake Michigan. Nice fragrance in the room. They provided things that you would expect from a motel/hotel such as coffee if you wanted to make coffee. As well as providing shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.Con:The major thing that turned my husband and I from wanting to stay at a motel again is the fact that they are located next to a fireworks place. The people in charge of the fireworks place decided to light off a ton of them for about 1.5 hours when we were trying to sleep. My husband went out to ask them to stop lighting fireworks off and the guy told him that they were just lighting off the last one, which was a lie. He continued for about another 15 minutes or so. And this was from 9:15 to 10:45 pm or so. To make it worse they relocated around the motel as they lit off the fireworks. Like they would be in one place for a while and then move somewhere else for a while. Some of the other people staying at the motel were not please either.Sorry we had to leave this negative review, which would have been a positive if we didn't encounter all of the noise.If you have to stay here avoid the 4th of July weekend.

I do not recommend this place at all!! Made the reservation on Wednesday for check in on Sunday. My husband had the same experience as a previous review: no one was there when he arrived, so he called the number, and so did I. After more than 20 calls, 3 texts, and 40 minutes later no one ever showed up. My husband drove about 15 hours and at that point wanted to go to a different place so he could get some rest. Can't speak on the rooms, but the service is absolutely awful!!

Made a reservation when I arrived no one was there to check me in. Gave me a number to call no answer the phone when call the 2nd time went straight to voice mail had to sleep in my car that night.
