Stopped in to get what I needed, which was fatwood to start campfires and got lost in the huge selection of griddles, yeti supplies and Milwaukee tools across the entire store. The staff was extraordinarily helpful. One of the best well put together and cleanest Ace Hardware. I’ve seen in a really long time.

My issue is one cashier. She is rude and has a definite attitude! If you don't like your job, please quit! Everyone else in the store is helpful and pleasant. It's a shame that when you walk out the door, you walk out upset because of her and I hate when I walk up to check out and see her there

Rude manager/owner at the paint department! The way they talk to customers is so unprofessional! Will never shop here again! I’d give it 0 stars if I could. I tried telling the woman the bucket of paint was only opened from the cap not the entire lid so I wasn’t understanding why she couldn’t mix it for us. She said no she is uncomfortable doing it because it can explode open (even tho it wasn’t unsealed) I insisted so she replies “ I won’t do it unless YOU want to come clean it up after”. As a business owner myself I would never say that to my customers or talk to them with an attitude just because I’m having a rough day. Not to mention a gentlemen tried helping us (ACE employee) and she was rude to him as well! The shocking part is that she’s the owner per what the lady at the register said. Treat your employees and customers better!
Update: MENARDS mixed our paint just fine and it didn’t open! Thank you MENARDS

We recently moved to Racine and KORTENDICK is only 5 minutes from our house and I must say that we have been warmly welcomed by the team at KORTENDICK for several reasons. This team of friendly people are just like that old commercial "Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man" - and WOMAN (thanks, Laura). And I'm writing primarily to thank JEFF for making a courtesy visit yesterday to show me where my in ground irrigation sprinklers were located because of heavy rains making it impossible to locate with him using his "irrigation talent" with our system. He was only here for 10-15 minutes but not only was it appreciated he shook my hand and said, "this one is no-charge". In today's world of jumbo hardware stores and online shopping KORTENDICK shows why the personal aspect in business is still their motto after over 70 years!! THANK YOU.

This store is always so clean and tidy. Staff is so friendly, especially Alli was super helpful trying to find a bike lock for my child's bike because they kept getting stolen. Because of Alli, my kid can have a bike again. Thank you!

I will never shop at this store again. I was racially profiled by the store manager Tim and me being a business owner would never allow an employee to treat a customer how I was treated today. I have never been this humiliated publicly in my life. Thank you Tim for the horrible customer service!

This location will not honor a military discount. The vast majority of ACE hardware stores do give a military discount (with proper ID), however this location offers no discount for serving your country. Very odd since Home Depot and Lowes honors the military everyday with 10% off discount. This location would get all of my business (which is a lot!!) If they honored the 3% of the brave men & women that serve their country with military service. Unfortunately the owner of this location decided that military service deserves nothing.
