Rivers and Bluffs is an amazing safe haven for animals in need of new homes. They are kind and loving to all of their charges and do everything they can to help them find their furever homes. Volunteers are always needed and very wanted.

Never been there I’ll admit, however, I have called a few times throughout the years. I called last year as a pregnant woman who has a dog I can’t handle as she’s too strong for me. When someone called me back I was basically criticized for “not being able to take care of her”. Then I have called a few times since the beginning of the year as she showed signs of aggression to my infant son. I was hoping to have the shelter take her and try to find a solution for a home for her as a single pet with no kids or on a farm. No one ever called me back. My honest opinion of this place, don’t waste your time.

When I visited the shelter I was welcomed by a great group of people who truly cared about what they were doing there weather it be a full time person or a volunteer. The facility was sparkling clean and very inviting with colorful walls and plenty of toys for the animals to play with.Glad I went to see it. Thank you Bre for the tour in your open house.

We enjoyed working with the shelter friendly and helpful. We adopted this little beauty. She was the baby (runt) of the bunch. She is doing great!!

From what I saw on their website it's a nice place to adopt a new animal into your family. I plan on going there sometime in the near future to possibly look into adopting a new kitten for our family!

The staff is very friendly and very caring about the animals they are sheltering. We are very happy with the puppy that we adopted. We were not misled at all and are excited about the happiness we can bring to our dog.

I adopted a dog from this place her name was baby no know as Remmy german shepherd blue heler mix. The shelter was fantastic very clean the staff is so helpful. The dogs and cats there get so much love

If I could rate zero I would. I adopted 3 cats and 2 of them were sick. Vaccination records I was given were wrong. The manager at the time didn't have the skills to recognize sick cats. I'm out of pocket over $3000.00 for one of the cats who needs lifelong meds and care. She is absolutely a loved pet and I will care for her as long as I can, but I will never adopt from RABAS again. It's a good thing for the animals that the original manager left.
