We have eaten there several times in the past and thought the food was quite good. Service was mediocre at best, there was no one to wait on us outside at all. The flies were horrible, inside and out. Then when we got our orders of food, we were really disappointed. Fake cheese? In Wisconsin? Very skimpy amount of meat on my husband's sandwich (on a pretzel bun).

Stopped in for lunch while traveling through the area. Very cool place with friendly waitstaff. Food was very good and the staff was very attentive.

My kids love the rootbeer and feeding the fish. Try the Invigorator Pale Dopplebock. Love the Nachos, all the beer and the park across the street, plenty of room for your event.

Tyler did our Brewery tour. Because he is not a brewer he could describe the process in a way we could understand. Good company, Tyler and Petosi Brewing.

Second time visiting. Such great history in all aspects of building and the brewery. Many options for any style beer you like. Had a couple of appetizers. Chicken nachos and Pretzel sticks. Both were great. There was a Cave Party this day. About 50 people dressed as Fred, Barney, Wilma, Betty, Pebbles and Bam Bam. How fun.

I feel like the cheese curds used to be in a very light and crispy batter but now they were in a thicker coated batter. Maybe a supply issue? They still tasted good. Maybe the fry oil was just old? We came on a Thursday night. I really liked the IPA I tried on tap. My salmon was good but maybe a tad over done. I loved my sweet potato fries as always. The sauce that comes with the salmon is really tasty as well. The seasonal vegetables looked and tasted like they came from a frozen bag which is kinda dissapointing since we are in the prime harvest season of early October and SW Wisconsin is full of veggie farms. It would be nice to see the restaurant source local produce. Two people in my group got the soup of the day - steak and potato - and said it wasn’t that good. However the beer cheese soup is quite tasty. The waitress was punctual and attentive but lacked menu knowledge. It would have been nice if she offered to have the bartender or other server/manager answer our questions about the beers on tap.

Make sure you book - we had no reservation and had to wait - we were told 20 minutes which turned into half an hour. They were short staffed and from being seated to food arriving was 50 minutes which wasn't great but understandable given the above. Good menu with plenty of choice, food was nice but all four meals were lukewarm, had to send the fries back which they happily replaced with a fresh batch. Staff were friendly but not the most competent.

When you see what this looked when the restoration started in 2005, (literally a stone wall shell) to now, wow! Town of a few hundred, very nice bar pub, lively and cool, food is good. Quesadilla "appetizer" could have been a meal itself, varied crowd, nice shop and museum tour is five bucks and well worth it. Americana at its finest!

Very friendly little town brewery with a nice museum and gift shop. We liked the Steamboat Lemon Shandy and the Good Old Potosi Golden beers

We landed here during the week, dined in the restaurant which was really good with lots of choices, could see this get busy on the weekend. Museum was great, lots of interesting exhibits, and a small gift shop. Potosi Brewing Company sends it's profits back to the city of Potosi, so that's an added bonus here! You end up with a free beer or soft drink, big glass and nice selections! We didn't do the tour, but walked around the area turning up a winery, ice cream shop, woodworker and lots of photo ops. Outdoor patio, if you get away from the bar!

We actually drove all the way across the state to visit Potosi Brewery for the first time after hearing good things about it from several people. We were a little disappointed because it was ok, but nothing special. However, we didn’t do the tour because we were there on a Friday and they only do tours on Saturdays & Sundays, so maybe that’s why (maybe the tour is what people are raving about?). The food and beer were fine, but nothing to get excited about - just your average brewpub stuff. It’s an ok stop if you happen to be in the area, but don’t go out of your way to go there.

Couple years ago I had toured the Brewery Museum but was not able to get to the brewery itself. This part of the year they only have one tour on Saturday and Sunday afternoon - not sure of other times of the year. Very good informative tour, too bad on Saturday it was quiet and not in operation. Safety issues I'm guessing. Enjoyed very much. Cool attraction in a small town - great for city revenue!

We stopped in here after visiting the brewery museum and gift shop (in the same building). They had a good selection of beers on tap, food was good, the bartender was very amiable, though not fully informed as to beer styles, and the outdoor beer garden was nice on a hot day. Well worth the visit.

This tasting room and cafe is part of the Potosi Brewing Company Museum complex. One can sample the many excellent beers here and have a snack, either as a break from looking at exhibits, or at the end of the tour. I liked the Oktoberfest beer best.
