Sept 14th, 2023 I took my 2018 Dodge Charger to get checked out because there was some noise that didn't sound good. Had video proof and showed them and explained that I took to a different dealership telling me it was my transmission. The tech at Portage took my car for a drive and heard what I was talking about with the noise. The Clerk came out and told me that it wasn't anything with my transmission, it was my front differential. They also said that I needed a new driver CV Shaft and Rear Axel. Parts came up to $4,600. I paid $332.27 for the service to check for the noise and for an alignment. I took my car to a different place that would replace both my CV Shafts and front differential for less than $3,000 with parts and labor. I also was running codes for evap so I had them order a Charcoal Canister. That was included with the price. The mechanic called saying that I needed to come in to talk about my car. He told me that the parts that Portage said that needed to be replaced, didn't fix the problem. I need a Transfer Case and Transmission replaced. That's another $4,000. I was crying because I didn't have the $3,000 for the parts to begin with and now, I have to come up with $4,000 because Portage diagnosed my car wrong. Portage needs to get themselves better techs so people with tight budgets and only living off one paycheck every two weeks don't go into debt because of their mistakes. I still owe over $14,000 on this $25,000 car. I can't keep making these big payments because someone didn't know that my transfer case was spilling out rust and was the noise I was hearing from the video and the gears are slipping because my car shutters every time I hit the accelerator.

Don't go here, I regret not walking out when I realized the car I came to see wasn't as it appeared online. Of all 4 photos , they managed to leave out photos of all the dents and rust. I ended up purchasing a different vehicle and needed to call them on my drive home about it not feeling right. I brought it back days later to have them look it over... it just continued , leading to several trips back , basically as they couldn't seem to figure it out the issues. The last visit was due to the vehicle over heating and antifreeze boiling out. So within the first 3 months I had many issues, and now I'm without a vehicle. SO I take it to another auto shop & its the water pump, with a Ford Taurus, can only be fixed at the dealership, as they have the proper tools and need to take apart the engine. So I have it towed to Portage Ford. The icing on the cake is Portage Ford ( the place I bought it ) telling me it would be 3400. Metro Ford in Madison fixed it for 2600. The man at Portage Ford (don't know his name, I just know it wasn't Justin) lost his cool when he was told I didn't want them repairing my car.

I'm highly disappointed with the way they treat people. I went in with looking to get a new car and trade in the vehicle I have now and they told me what they would offer me for my trade in and when I spoke to the manager about what it was it was far less then what I was originally told and never once was I told the actual price for the trade in they let me believe it was the price I was told, and when I confronted the manger about it he got very mad with me and started to kinda raise his voice, I'm highly disappointed with the way I was treated and how they tried screwing me over.

I recently was in need of some servicing of my vehicle. I woke up one morning and my vehicle would not start and was not sure what to do. I was able to schedule my vehicle within a few days to get worked on. Not only did these guys go above and beyond while working on my truck, and getting back on the road but they let me know the service was free of charge and covered by a warranty I didn't know I had. They worked incredibly hard to get it done as soon ad possible they let me use a loaner that I really loved and was a hit with my daughter and her friends. Thanks again Portage Ford for standing by your vehicles and looking out for your customers and your neighbors. The service center is like a garage on steroids and looks like an awesome place to work! Thanks Portage Ford!!!

I went here with my fiancé to buy a jeep. I was a serious buyer that drove all the way from Oshkosh. The salesman greeted and shook hand but did not acknowledge my fiancé at all. Which is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. However, we moved on maybe thinking he would start conversation with him which still never happened the whole time we were going over the jeep.We took the Jeep for a test drive and we really liked it but couldn't get past the way my fiancé was treated, it was uncalled for and uncomfortable so we left. I didn't get the car I liked and they didn't make sale because of how unprofessional he was. I hope it wasn't racism.

Very disappointed with a service call to diagnose an intermittent engine faltering problem. 2001 Dodge van. I complained to the Service Department. Service Manager phoned to ask of there was any way to make me happy. Since there was no engine warning code before but there was a code beginning to show up later, I agreed to let him try again "no-charge". This time the diagnosis was good, they replaced an oxygen sensor at a discounted price. Like any Dealer, don't look for cheap, but you will find the Service Manager, Russ Fitzpatrick, to be helpful.
