I showed up to check in about an hour before check in time and I understand rules are rules but they wouldn't issue me my room card early so I had to sit in my truck for an hour after driving 15.. they wouldn't even accommodate me to let me use their laundry room to wash clothes before check in even though my stay was paid in full. Customer service is very "sucks to be you" The outlet next to the bed has zapped me twice in the first hour through my phone charger and no it's not my charger it's the outlet. AC doesn't work, not even simple fan mode. Wifi is absolute trash even by motel standards. Room was clean, neat, and well stocked is about the nicest thing I can say, but hey for 70 bucks and some change I'll rough it out for the night.Rooms: Clean and well stocked, but half the amenities didn't work or were seriously faulty.Food & drinks: Plenty of fast food and dining in the immediate area. You have a lot of options in walking distance and there's a lot of delivery options in town as well

I was in town for work and was given a reduced rate of $62.43 the first night. I needed to book another night the very next day and was charged $96.35 even though my receipt reflected the same price as the night before. The sink didn't work and the toilet was clogged. I had to go get a plunger from the front desk before I could use the restroom.

Welp. It didn't have bed bugs. But there was a dirty used fork on the floor in the room, dried rice on the sheets, the curtains were disintegrating, the lock on the door was broken, the room number was taped to an electrical box outside of the room, the dresser drawer wouldn't go back in right, there was a stain on the pillow that kinda looked like blood? There was white crusty spots on the blanket. Not to mention there was a random futon in the parking lot?! If I could give negative stars I would. We stayed here a few months ago

Stayed specifically for the tanning bed. However I used it once and was interrupted by an employee stating the alarm was going off for the tanning room. Went to use it the next day and was told no. The woman stated the filters needed to be cleaned. Was turned down the 3rd day and felt she was accusing me of tampering with wires. Felt fery uncomfortable

OMG!!! They get one star for price. Other than that, just plain shi**y! Filthy rooms. Bad smells. I was told they have no ice makers, they just chose not to use them, they were physically on premises. Outer door didn't lock, absolutely no sense of security. Hall carpet torn up so maybe they are trying to improve, my suggestion is go elsewhere until they can demonstrate improvement. Night desk clerk was a jerk. This hotel used to be our go-to, nothing fancy, but clean and nice; let's call it aging gracefully. Not anymore, now it's in full chemotherapy mode; this is the colonoscopy bag of hotels in Portage.

I am reluctant to write reviews like this, and have never done anything lower than a 3, but I felt compelled to do so. This was the worst (and we stay on the cheap most times just for background) experience I've ever had at a motel/hotel.I'll start with the good. It was one of the least expensive places near the Dells. We had a stay at Hotel Rome Sunday Monday but getting in to town late we felt it a better money spent staying the first night at someplace inexpensive. They have a lounge/restaurant in the same building and that experience was great (pregnant waitress included special shout out to her). The internet was actually quite good. My son decided he wanted to load a game that was about 6 GB on our phone before we left and it flew in pretty good. The front desk gal was very kind. The showers were hot and we were given the proper soaps. That's about it!The bad in their control:1. Our part was in the back and the parking lot had plenty of potholes. That might be a little nit picky but when you have to avoid them because they're deep enough to cause some serious alignment issues, I figure it worth mentioning.2. The place is under construction. This normally isn't a bad thing, but in this case it's kind of a wreck. It's dirty and I don't mean a little bit dirty. I mean white dust and other stuff all over the place. And they literally were laying carpet in the hallway of our hotel room. So every time we left or entered the room if you weren't thinking about it, you trip over the six to eight inch lip that was right outside your door for the overhang because it wasn't cut to fit yet.3. The elevator had only one fluorescent tube type bulb in it but held three and one of them was carelessly left laying on the top. Looking like it could fall and any moment.4. There was only one cart to use and it was dilapidated. If you pulled too hard it would literally fall apart but we managed.5. The fridge smelled like someone had used it as a toilet so we couldn't really store anything in it and had to run to the local Walmart which is close to get ice. It was so bad I threatened my kids that if they had bad behavior they'd have to stick their head in and smell. I was joking of course but it was rotten. Something in there was disgustingly pungent.6. Which reminds me the ice machine wasn't working......none of them nor was the phones. The latter was not a big deal since we had cell phones.7. The room was dirty aside from the sheets which we scoured before sleeping in them. I'm talking smears on the light receptacles and everything.8. One of the reasons why we stayed was the pool and hot tub. The hot tub is drained and not functioning. The pool was murky and had a greenish tinge. Certainly not what they display in the photos. It did smell of chlorine so we let our kids swim for a bit. They didn't grow a third limb or go blind or anything, so I guess we're okay there.9. The beds in my opinion along with the pillows were rock hard. I woke up hardly able to get out of bed in the morning. I'm in my 40s for the record so I'm not ancient.10. The bathroom was tiny and by that I mean I'm a bigger dude and I had to turn sideways just to use the toilet.Out of their control:1. The contractor that was doing the floors had a Bluetooth speaker playing music. This is normally not a big deal and actually might have set some ambiance aside from they chose to listen to rap music that was dropping swear words not exactly family friendly if you get me.2. The front of the building looks good and inviting. The rear building on the other hand where we stayed wasn't the best lit and had loiterers in the parking lot with their trunks open and music cranking. In the end they were harmless and we didn't have any issues. I'm just mentioning because if that sort of thing bothers you as it did my family. It's worth mentioning. There was none of that in the front that we could see.3. The construction had a glue odor to
