The theater program is typecasting, and very biased. If you’re talented and out of city, don’t waste your time! No new comers have a chance.

I visited South Beach on a daytrip to Port Washington on a weekday in October. The weather was great for a nice walk on the beach; the winds were not kicking up the water too high. I enjoyed a leisurely walk looking at the waves on Lake Michigan, the rocks and driftwood on the beach, and the bluffs. The parking lot for the beach is small, and it should be expected that it would be full on weekend day. But, one could park in the nearby Coal Dock Park and take a short walk to South Beach. It is a great spot for a picnic.

I love South Beach. On days when the wind isn’t bringing the waves up the sand you can walk for a long long ways on the beach!! You can collect rocks, sea glass and driftwood. Everyone is always friendly.

So south beach used to be a nice little beach to go to and just lay out and get some sun and watch the waves but now there’s no beach left and it only goes so far because it looks like there’s a mudslide that comes out into the water and you wouldn’t be able to get past that unless you go in the water in and around so it’s very sad that nothing is being done maybe get rid of some of the dead trees there and make room for more beach area and the part that’s way into the water needs to be fixed. so people can enjoy the beach walk the beach, etc.

This beach is kind of tucked in right adjacent to the power plant, but is a nice little beach where you can enjoy Lake Michigan and spend a lot of time skipping stones into the lake if it isn't too wavy. We were the only ones there in December, and the parking lot is fairly small, so it may be busier in the summer. All in all, a very nice little beach.

Doesn't even deserve a one star!! It is really irritating that the Port Washington Park and Rec Department implemented a new height requirement for both of their water slides. My child has been going on both slides for 2yrs and currently a Stage 6 Level swimmer and 46". You are not even open to an option of having anyone under 48" complete a swim test to prove they are strong swimmers. Don't tell me their isn't an option, there is always an option YOU are making the choice not to look into this option!

Signed our 4 year old up for micro soccer. No one ever showed up to instruct the class. My son was very disappointed. There was no one to call to ask what is going on either. If there is going to be classes on the weekend then there should be someone in the office to take calls.
